That was something I've been dreaming of, something I've told myself before the third period I was going to do ... It was an amazing feeling. It's hard to describe. I didn't believe it went in at first but when I saw all the reaction and all the fans going crazy and my teammates going crazy, it's just an unbelievable feeling. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know whether to jump or just skate and do a Theo Fleury. I don't think I'm the same caliber player he is so I couldn't do it.

Just got home from the Dome, and my head is spinning. The atmosphere was unlike anything I have experienced before and the noise just didn't stop - even when it looked bleak for most of the third. Leaving the arena is something I will never forget. People randomly high fiving and hugging each other all over the place. You could still hear the chanting coming from the dome several blocks away.
What a game.

Over ten minutes for Diaz. That extra 5 minutes from the sixth matter a lot.

Same. Crowd was nuts in the 3rd. I can't believe we managed to organize an "It was in" chant. On the same thought, I need to get a copy of that guy's jersey (#04, "It was in").

Great game!
Also, was Backlund smiling after he scored the game winner? I didn't think he was capable.

What excites me is that I feel like the Flames were really lacking confidence for most of this game. The Ducks were beating them in every facet of the game and they were rushing simple plays and making bad decisions.
And we won the game in spite of that. There's more than just a little hope.
And you have to think Hartley is selling the "and the NHL doesn't want us to win either -- that was a goal".
Look out. I think we've seen what this team can do when it believes in itself. Belief has crept back in.
Go Flames Go!

Whos to say that they don't have a little accident with some wildlife on their little woods excursion. I'm just saying It's spring time and the birds and the bees are not exactly thinking with their main heads right now. It would be a terrible shame if the happened apon a couple of larger mammals fighting over a female and thwy just happened to get in the way.

If not for the Colborne beauty, or the Gaudreau tying goal, or the Backlund winner... the play of the game might have been Jones crushing Kesler who was trying to keep the puck alive yet not touch it on the delayed high-sticking play.
Jones comes cruising in and decked Kesler, so satisfying.

Of all the games to miss! lol...so happy with the result! Friday's game will be insane.
I was working at one of the polling stations tonight and one of the ladies was kind enough to put the game on the radio for us for the start of the OT...from listening to it you could feel that something was coming from that sustained pressure with the delayed penalty call!
can't wait to watch the pvr'd game!
Great job tonight boys! here's hoping for a tied series heading back to Anaheim!!!!!
Go Flames Go!!!!

I was so lucky to go to both game 6 Canucks and tonights game...
They were both so special in their own way.
One was not better than the other... they both satisfied in such different ways.
