Flames were pretty damn good in the 2nd half of that period. Keep that up in the 3rd, and we'll have a chance to get back into this. I believe!

The betting line is +360 so you may as well pounce on it.

Yeah, Kesler has toned down his overall douchbaggery. That's not sayin' much though, considering he's still a dink during almost every play he's involved in.

Had a feeling we would get a shorty with that BS penalty on Stajan. Just happy it was Colborne on the breakaway and not Jooris.

Thought we had to get at least a tie in the second period and we did it. Now it's time to show the Ducks some third period Flames action, epic comeback style. GFG!

What blows me away more than anything is there seems to be an inability to understand that the way elite teams beat lesser teams is by making them make mistakes and not be able to play their game. How do they think they score their goals and win most games? By making the other team make mistakes.

It's like a lot of fans only watch the Flames players on the ice and don't watch the whole game, which is understandable I guess. But they go "Calgary has to stop doing X Y and Z, it's inexcusable". "They need to get back to playing their game, I can't understand why they stopped".

Well newsflash; If Calgary was able to play their game and weren't making X Y and Z mistakes they'd be on their way to a sweep of the Ducks. But the Ducks aren't letting them play their game and play mistake free hockey because they're an elite hockey team.

Seriously, some perspective is needed. I would recommend that instead of watching just the Flames players this next period, try watching only Anaheim for the first 5 minutes and you'll see why the Flames aren't able to play their game.

There's two teams out there guys, and one's a favorite to win the Cup. We're the other one.

If it comes down to Colborne or Backlund staying in the organization I'd have to bet on Colborne at this point.

Observations form the first two periods.

The Ducks are in the Flames heads. No way around it, Flames are over thinking everything.

D-men playing mid-high slot while partner is chasing the cycle is exposing far side of the net. Something they did not do in the Vancouver series was chase the cycle. Cannot fault them though because getzlaf and Perry do something the Sedins don't, score from anywhere. But the Flames are making it real easy for them.

Ramo: Not good enough. Period. To be fair to him, Hiller wasn't good enough either.
I see no reason why Ortio cannot get the start in game 4 if they go down 3-0 tonight.

Bennett @ 18 is playing beyond his years in the playoffs. Kids a stud.

Monahan-Hudler-Gaudreau.... wakey wakey. In fairness, The Ducks have been containing their speed and skill all series. Doesn't really seem to matter who they line up against.

PP is atrocious.

Russell and Wideman are burnt out. Part of it has to do with the Ducks and the other part is that they're too light on their sticks and too slow making the first pass. And forcing that first pass into a clogged neutral zone. Thing is with that, they can skate it out with speed but they're scared of a turn-over and speedy counter attack.

Size is a factor.

The 3rd isn't do or die, but it's pretty much as close as you can get. Need a huge push here, might as well go all out and see what happens. Need a lot more shots on net.

Don't care how our size matches up, who hasn't played well, who screwed up tonight already. Just play your hearts out in the third. throw your bodies like no tomorrow. this period can change everything. there's nothing to lose. leave it all out there and just PLAY.

GO FLAMES GO!
