I'd offer two of Granlund, Reinhart, or Agostino and a lower pick (if necessary).
Hopefully they don't ask for Jankowski. I wouldn't deal him.

Eric Gelinas would be a great pick-up for the Flames.

Mason Raymond, Paul Byron, Kenny Agostino and Ben Hanowski all look surplus to requirements here, but in New Jersey they could provide some immediate help at forward.

With us needing to strengthen our defense, do you think Jonathan Blum would be a good guy to get?

We see, to do very good at getting average people and turning them to players that will help us.

Where's Sven when you need him? Haha
You are probably joking but Sven had zero value around the league other than in Vancouver.

Treliving said he offered Sven to every team and the 2nd round pick from Vancouver was by far the best offer.

I wouldn't deal Jankowski. We need Centers that can win faceoffs. Even if Janko only becomes a 3rd/4th line C, his faceoff abilities and size are something desperately needed in this organization.

Agreed here. Backlund may not be around long term and may be a placeholder until Jankowski is ready. Maybe The devils make a deal for Backlund. Who the hell knows what trade options any team is willing to make. The Devils need everything under the sun when it comes to Forwards.

Jon Blum has already cleared waivers for two years straight.

If the Flames thought he was NHL ready and an improvement on what they had they likely would have claimed him or traded for him by now.

Their defense doesn't look incredibly deep. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to keep him.

Nah they have lots of 35+ year old intangiblez players. They just need young players that can score.

I would love to pick up Gelinas. The NHL 15 GM in me says Klimchuk gets the job done. A trade I would immediately jump at.

Rumors of Euro (mostly Russian) guys coming to the NHL. With the exception of Tikhonov, all would fall under the NHL's ELC rules:

LW/RW Sergei Plotnikov - 6'2'' 198lbs 24 years shoots L
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=17760
His KHL club has announced that they are working with Plotnikov to mutually end his KHL contract so he can pursue a NHL career.
His agent says that they have a few NHL offers on the table, but have not finialized a deal yet.
Some think he will excel at the North American style game with his size and "energetic" style game and may become a consistent goal scorer. (new Kulemin is what the article describes him)
Was the 3rd in tournament scoring in the 2014 World Championship.

RW Nikita Soshnikov - 5'11'' 183 lbs 21 years shoots L
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=94676
Apparently in discussions with Toronto and knows he will likely start in the AHL, but has said he will likely return to Russia if he can't break into the NHL after a year

RW Viktor Tikhonov - 6'2'' 185lbs 26 years shoots R
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=15235
discussed before in this thread
Arizona has his rights until July 1st after which he becomes an UFA
apparently his KHL club has made him a generous offer a few days ago and are waiting to hear back from his camp

C/RW Sergei Kalinin - 6'3'' 190lbs 24 years shoots L
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=43871
rumors from Russia is that he wants to try his hand at the NHL
suffered a major injury during the KHL playoffs this year - reportedly a "cerebal brain contusion", may not recover until after October
has no current KHL contract
believed Chicago is interested

D Nikita Pivtsakin - 5'10'' 187lbs 23 years shoots L
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=43866
like his teammate Kalinin rumored that he wants to play in the NHL
also like Kalinin suffered a major injury (cruciate ligament rupture) during the playoffs this year and may not be ready for NHL training camps
a bit on the small side for defencemen
doesn't have a current KHL contract

D Nikita Zaitsev - 6'1'' 187lbs 23 years shoots R
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=34773
according to the article there is little media attention to him potentially coming to North America, but the talk in hockey circles is that it is essentially a done deal
also injured in the playoffs
has a valid contract in the KHL for next season that would need to be worked around before he can sign in North America
described as one of the best defencemen in Russia that still hasn't reached his full potential
2 years ago the Flyers were interested in him, but now a lot more NHL teams are expected to be in the running for his services

D Dean Kukan - 6'2'' 198lbs 21 years shoots L
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=66177
a Swiss national playing in Sweden's pro leagues
according to his agent has a NHL offer on the table along with multiple invites to join a NHL teams in training camp for the 2015/2016 season
also according to his agent, good chance he stays in Sweden - going to do what is best for his development

How's his defensive game though? I'm always nervous when it comes to Russian defensemen because all you see is highlights of them scoring. He's got some size but he's not really not big enough to be intimidating. I'm just always apprehensive when it comes to purely offensive defensemen.

Watching that video, I'd have thought he was a winger.

It's not that bad. I believe he only signed a 3 year deal, so he has 2 years left. Still time to turn it around and if not, he'll be gone soon enough.

I was hoping it would have been a handcuffing 6 year deal when it was signed, but alas it was not.
