My main jersey is an old school #4 Rautakallio - only regret is that they put the 'Cup patch on a jersey for a player from 1979-82! Also have an '04 Red Kipper - doesn't get much wear, but no regrets. Blank Habs jersey that gets worn about once every five years.

I have a Bourque home retro that I wore for the first round and an '04 home Warrener. I've come around on the Bourque - dude scored 75 goals in his first 3 years with the team (21/25/25) and then was wrecked by injuries and I'm guessing off-ice stuff.

I'd say it's like paying extra for any piece of clothing. How often are you going to wear it; and more importantly, how often are you going to wash it?
I have season tickets, so I wear a jersey to every game and wash them frequently. I found that the logos on the replica/"Premiere" jerseys don't hold up and the edges started to peel and fray after a full season's wear and tear.
Because the logos are all stitched onto the Authentic jerseys, they don't have the same problem. I have Authentics that I've worn regularly for 5+ seasons that look as good as the day I bought them.
Also, during the off-season, you can often find the Authentics on sale for a pretty good price. A few years ago, Reebok changed their logo on the back of the jerseys (no other changes), so the FanAttic cleared out all their Authentics for $100 each.

Did you get that at the fan appreciation game two seasons ago (Kipper's last home game vs the Ducks). A guy in front of me in line at the east side Fanattic bought that exact same jersey. I remember thinking at the time, that the dude was really out on a limb with that choice.

Bought a #34 jersey a while back, weird looking guy and I can't pronounce his last name. Doesn't even play on the Flames anymore, waste of the $150 I spent on it.

Haha that might have been me. It's too bad things didn't work out for him.

My main jersey is a red/home autographed Stajan. I got it from attending a game - Goal Judge package - when Stajan first arrived and was re-signed. I remember thinking; Flames are parading their new toy (not sure if I'm sold on this trade yet), but hey - the guy is super nice and just signed my jersey - no complaints.
Through Matt's ups and downs, people have said -"whoa - a Stajan jersey?", but as he's cemented his place on this team and emerged as a leader, I look better and better in it each time I wear it.
On an unrelated note: I saw a guy wearing a #47 Greentree jersey this morning - how random is that?

Not a jersey, but spent $100 on a signed/framed Baertschi photo a couple years ago. No idea what to do with it now. Garbage?

My condolences. Sell it to a Canucks fan. Just say "one day when Baertschi is breaking scoring records, this picture will be worth tons". They'll buy it.

I have the same problem with a signed/framed Phaneuf photo and a signed/framed Regehr photo. I was going to hang on to the Regehr one but after that last Kings game where he was taking liberties with our top line, I don't like him anymore.

Yeah, just make sure you sell before the beginning of next season. They will soon realize Sven is garbage.
