Unfortunately boxing politics likely means no chance of Mayweather-Crawford (Crawford has the same promoter as Pacquiao, whom Mayweather hates). Thurman is the most likely of the good matchups because he has no political issues (same promoter, both on Showtime). GGG is not happening because it's just too dangerous (which is of course why he should do it).
I also don't think Floyd isn't retiring at 49-0. He just wants HBO and Showtime to overbid big time for the possible 50-0 fight.

The fight was boring because there wasnt even a knockdown.
Like this was a surprise. Easiest fight ever to predict / Boredom an absolute guaranteed outcome like every Mayweather fight. Zero classic fights in all those bouts. It's entertainment and he can't entertain. Zero power, no personality. On top of it all the guy is a loser.
Snoozefest was automatic and yet stiffs all over the world paid to watch it. P.T. Barnum was so right!

Like everyone else says, its too late. I will definitely be watching though. I think Floyd wins in a technical, boring unanimous decision.

There is my post from the first page...and I paid to watch the fight, so take it easy!

And yet isn't that the genius (minus the illiteracy) of Floyd Mayweather? He's one of the least entertaining champions ever, yet he's the biggest PPV star ever by far. This is why he acts like a gigantic #######, because his style doesn't sell a single fight. It's hating him that sells fights. Sad that guys who do fight great styles can't earn 1/10th Floyd does, but Floyd is a marketing savant.

I didn't find the marketing appealing whatsoever / you actually have to pony up once to get me interested / to me it's way more about how stupid people are.

People will pay lots of money to see somebody they dislike get punched in the face.
Floyd then makes them hate him even more since he is too good to even get punched in the face.

You have to give Mayweather credit, he figured it out early on. His fighting style was never going to sell big, so he marketed himself as boxing's villian, made everyone hate him and want to watch his fights in hopes of seeing him knocked out.
He'll probably still blow through all his cash with his lavish lifestyle and end up with nothing at the end, but the guy knows how to maximize his earnings in boxing, that's for sure.
I think a big problem with boxing is that there aren't really any well-known, great, American fighters outside of Mayweather. Hopkins is done, and he never did much to endear himself. Really boxing needs another Roy Jones Jr. at this point. Someone who can dominate at different weight classes and please the crowd.

Yup he doesn't get enough credit for that end of things, but he made some really smart moves in his career.
I guess Oscar DeLa Hoya and Mike Tyson don't really know boxing, right? Those two are only a few people who thinks that fight was dumb and embarrassment. Anyways I guess you are an expert boxing afficionado just like that Max Kellerman. Just admit it Mayweather was too scared to fight Pacman for 5 years and he proved it again that he is too scared to fight him last night.
If you claim you are the greatest boxer of all time (better than Muhammad Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard) you have to at least put up a fight. The Money Man is correct, he freaking took the money and run.
The greatest pound for pound boxer ever was the original Sugar Ray, Sugar Ray Robinson. I would love to stick Mayweather in a time machine and let him fight that man in his prime, he would get destroyed!

I read something today about Kell Brook, the undefeated IBF champion from England. Will Mayweather fight any challenger? Or just those that will give him a payday.

Come now. He did coach a future Hall of Fame, and I do think Zou Shiming will be making some big waves soon.
You mean the Zou Shiming who just got pounded in China and has fallen off the radar for title shots? This buy is more marketing because of his Gold medals. He is over 30 years old already and hasn't beat anyone.
Mayweather is 10 times the boxer that Pacquiou is or ever will be. Pacman is 3-3 in his last 6 fights, all after more stringent drug testing came into effect. For 5 years Pacman's fans have said Mayweather ran from him but Bob Arum wouldn't make the fights, Mayweather even offered 50-50 split on the box office as long as Pacman agreed to Olympic style drug testing which Pacman refused.
Mayweather was convicted of domestic violence, paid his time in jail but everyone overlooks the adultery that Pacman committed for years, even to the point where his wife was going to leave him the day before he got knocked out by Marquez. Neither guy is a model citizen. Roach and Pacman, two overrated boxing people.
And Dela Hoya promoting the Canelo fight on Twitter while complaining about this fight is a joke. Canelo got absolutely destroyed by Mayweather, so bad that he fell off the radar for 1-2 years.

Agreed. They do have Andre Ward but he is so good that nobody will fight him. Boxing won't make a big comeback until the US gets a good heavyweight champ. That division seems to drag the others further along. It hasn't been the same since Lennox Lewis cleaned out the division and turned it over to Klitsko (another boring fighter who just wins).
