I'd try Stajan on the PP - maybe with Jones and Bennett or Colborne. Make it a grinding unit with a lot of net front presence.
I think Shore needs a longer look at 4th line centre. Jooris is a better winger.

Another awful first period did them in again tonight, but they were much better in the 2nd and 3rd. Definitely some positives to build on heading into game 3. However, if our offence doesn't start producing, this series is gonna be over quick. I have to admit, it's pretty impressive how easily the Ducks have neutralized our top line.

how many is it?
it has been 9 full years now...so I assume it has to be close to 20 games.
EDIT: Actually I just looked...they are correct.... with tonights defeat the Flames have lost the last 21 times they have played in Anaheim.

Is that not right or something? I mean, their last win there was in 2006 so it's gotta be pretty close.

Masonraymond is afraid of his own shadow. Shore seems like a better option.

they seem to cherry pick, they did win there in the 2006 playoffs...normally playoffs and regular season for these types of records are kept seperate

Well factually...the team is 0-21 since last winning a playoff game there on Apr 25 2006.

Going to be a tough ask to win both games at home but I think if our best players start clicking we can do it.
It ain't over yet. Start by winning game 3 and go from there.

Saying "the Flames have lost 21 straight games in Anaheim" is not cherry picking. That's the opposite of cherry picking, since they used a large sample size and didn't exclude anything.

Even if we end up losing the next two games by a combined score of 9-1, wouldn't everyone say this season was successful beyond their wildest dreams?

Much better second and third. I have faith that with the last change and the supportive home crowd, that could push the Flames over the edge for a tight game 3 victory. Got take it one game at a time and another meaningful game at the Dome Tuesday, can't get better than that.
Johnny G. Needs to be prepared to pay the price a little more on the side boards in his own end to help alleviate pressure in his own end, that would be my only comment on his play and why he might have been played on the 2nd line today for the first half of the game.

Just hasn't been a good playoffs for him at all. Pretty easy shut out for Andersen as the Flames simply haven't been driving to the net as there were rebounds but no Flames around the net.

I'd move him down to the third Center, and put Bennett as the second center. Then, basically play a three line game. Bennett is still playing with a lot of Center tendencies anyway. The bottom line is that you need some offence out of your second line center, no matter how good defensively he is.

There is now an 87.8% likelihood that the Ducks will advance according to the historical #'s for teams in this situation.
