Reporting Bad Fan Behavior
The NFL Bengals have introduced a program where you can snitch on bad fans:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...x.html?cnn=yes
The Cincinnati Bengals are giving fans a way to deal with belligerent jerks who spoil the game for everybody else.
Starting with Sunday's preseason opener with the Washington Redskins, obnoxious behavior in the stands could prompt a cell phone call to the jerk patrol.
What are your worst experiences? I once almost got in a fight with a guy behind me because I dared to stand up during a break-away.
I would also like to report all fans that fail to wear RED during the playoffs.

Some guy in front of me kept standing up during breakaways. When I politely asked if he could remain seated during the breakaways he got irate with me and tried to fight me. Like gee-willickers, I'm in a freaking neck brace and a knee brace, I couldn't easily stand up to begin with, then he wants to fight me in my weakened state? What a coward! He even told me that he is a lawyer and was going to sue me for harrasing him if I asked him to sit down again.

Humm I have had a few time where I have got into with an other fan, one Oiler one Canuck fan (Go figure) the one Oiler fan was just sitting there up in Blacks, saying the most idiotic ######ed statements I have ever herd, “Kipper is over paid” “Smyth would Kick Iggy’s ass” needless to say there wasn’t much I could say/do because the Oilers where winning one nothing but when the Flames scored I jumped out of my seat (my girlfriend almost did a face plant because she turned over to give me a hug) I ran up got a half an inch away from the guys face and screamed some choice words in his face, then at the end of the game (the Oilers had one in OT) he started making those idiotic statement again I went to give him some choice words but my girl friend held me back
The Canucks fan there was no girlfriend there, this guy bald guy was sitting one row right in front of me, and he was one of those fans that react to whatever you say, I.e. “Bertuzzi you are a disgrace” …”Bertuzzi is on team Canada” ….”Naslund you fairy”…”Iggy turtles” just a coward that didn’t have the balls to turn and say it to my face, so finally after a few beers, I told him if he has got something to say than turn around and say it, then he stood up trying to be Mr. Tuff guy asking you want to take this outside? But the game was far from over so I told him to Calm down and tell it to the pricing he had in his eyebrow after that he didn’t say anything
But the worst fan I encountered was unfortunately a Flames fan, we where playing Detroit these group of Gotti kids where sitting a couple of row up from this Detroit fan, but the Detroit fan was a nice guy, didn’t say anything really just clapped when Detroit scored was a kind and courteous guy, but these idiot kids, keep on yelling the stupidest things at him, ‘You From Detroit, you Fat ****er” and stuff like that, the worst part was that between them was a group of young girls with there Dad trying to enjoy the game, but for some reason, the dad didn’t say one thing to these idiots
Oh and once I went to a game where this 15 year old kid showed up with his girlfriend and buddy but he was just hammered already, then I guess he got some guy to buy him a beer he took one sip and threw up everywhere it was just disgusting, a bit got on my jersey I was so ****ed, but there where guys that where right in front of the kid and he threw up all over them, poor guys

I generally have more problems watching games in bars. I only had one problem at a game before. I was in Toronto and it was a Toronto/Ottawa game. I was in a group consisting of my brother and his friends. They were cheering for TO and I was rooting for Ottawa. When Ottawa scored, I stood up and clapped. This guy two or three rows behind me started making comments to me. It didn't bother me at first, I expect to get some jeering when I am in enemy territory, but he eventually started calling me, among other things, a puckbunny and making obscene and graphic comments. Turns out my brother is good for something because he put a swift end to that.

I thought I remember hearing the BC Lions do this too. I might be wrong. I was listening to it on the radio in Vancouver and they might of been talking about if the Lions should do this, too.

Sounds classy.
Anybody gets half an inch from my face screaming because of an off-the-cuff comment about the Flames...and I will Zidane them in about 2.4 seconds.

Jpold, I'm not sure if you're bragging about going after that Oiler fan or not ..
I was at the Stamps game vs. the Riders last weekend so of course there were many Rider fans ... the guy sitting immediately to the right of our group kept saying the stupidest things that no-one responded to whenever the Stamps did something well (he was a Stamps fan) ... it was just kind of silly and stupid for the longest time until he started yelling at this kid a couple rows in front of us - the kid was maybe 10 years old and just cheering for the Riders. Anyway, some guy turned to him and basically told him that you shouldn't involve kids like that, in so many words.
I also saw a pile of people get thrown out of the game and arrested. How big of a jerk do you have to be to have that happen?

When I was a kid (I think I was around 11), I went to a Winnipeg Jets/Habs game with a friend of mine in Winnipeg. I bought a Jets pennant and was holding it up high and cheering on the Jets. Three grown men (Montreal fans) a few rows up started threatening me with physical violence and one threw a partially full drink at me.
To this day, I can't understand why 3 adults would do that to a kid who was just having fun at his first ever live NHL game.

I see a lot of games in enemy barns, but have never had a bad experience. I don't think people say anything to me because, well, I'm frickin' huge.

The irony of the Bengals implementing a snitching program is hilarious.
5 guys arrested in the last 4 months I beleive? Add to that a very questionable character in Frosty Rucker as a draft choice?
Quote:
Bengals pick arrested… Cincinnati DE Frostee Rucker, a 3rd round pick at the 2006 draft, has been charged with two counts of spousal battery and two counts of vandalism. Both charges are misdemeanors. The charges stem from one incident in early August 2005 that took place at Rucker's Los Angeles apartment.
