You can sit him now in a blowout or play him in a close game.
Or he could be hurt. Either way, what do you gain by playing him now if the Ducks are looking to pummel him?

We would have been better with Hughson, he is much better when the Canucks aren't playing.

I don't think Romanuk is biased at all. He's just terrible.

He was terrible in the regular season too when he called Flames games too. He peaked in the late 90s before he ran off to Europe.

NBC commentators are somewhat endurable. I'd rather have Kerr than Romanuck.

Can't believe how quiet this crowd is with their team up by 5 goals in a 2nd round playoff game. Pathetic.

Shut up about a curse. Clearly it has nothing to do with it being a hostile building, it's all because the Ducks are a good team.
Imagine that, a good team winning hockey games at home.

Still over 5 min left and the building is half empty. I know it's 6-1 but it's the PLAYOFFS - you don't stick around to cheer your team at the end? Anaheim fans suck.

Completely different game if Jooris scores on that breakaway

that's actually a good goal but blah 6-1 refs don't want trouble.

Johnson, just stop. That is plain and clear interference that is called every day of the week.

No penalty??
Can the Flames accidentally-on-purpose lay on the goalie next game and not get a penalty? That would be great.

Heal of the stick also hit the edge of the boards too. Still a slash but the boards took a good chuck of the blow.

Yeah just wait, Erick Estrada will have some cryptic post in the post game thread about it.
Never mind the fact that the Ducks were just the better team tonight.

I really really wish the refereeing in this league was consistent. Gaudreau hit from behind, Backlund blatantly hooked. What's the point in not making the calls? It destroys the entertainment by making it possible for less skilled players to bend the rules, basically push it until the refs make a call. Why not just call every game the same? It's been bothering me for a long time. How is Gaudreau going to survive in a game against 220 pound men when the officials don't care about what happens?
