On the plus side, the Flames have a lot of room once they get it out of their zone, which they didn't have against Vancouver.
Not far from the mute button, Romanuk terrible and Johnson feels validated ripping the Flames and specifically Hiller for an average period, and, bringing up last year, when he was on a different team and totally different situation, calling Hiller basically a quitter.

Flames look a bit rusty, not seeing the playoff intensity yet but I'm sure it will come. Just don't wait too long.

There was 3.
1. Long shot from Perry just over the red line. Hit the post hit the boards bounced back to hit the post again.
2. Duck player from hash marks on right side boards
3. Duck player walks in from from left side hashmarks rings it of the crossbar.

Honestly....when they weren't even expected to be in the playoffs this is all playing with house money. Obviously want to see the Flames win and go as deep as they possibly can during this post season, but I'm just happy to be watching the Flames play in the second round.
1st period of the 1st game down and the nerves out of the way. Time to regroup-refocus and settle into playing their game. Anything can happen in this game and this far from over yet!

Agreed. When the Ducks get the puck down low, the Flames don't seem to have an answer. They're getting dominated pretty easily in their own zone right now. Hopefully we'll see them adjust in the 2nd and turn on the comeback juice.

I honestly must have been watching a different game, because I didn't see any shots off the post at all unless you count Getzlaf's shot that bounced off the back boards and hit the post on the way back out front.
Seriously, I feel like the game was edited or something.

Yeah that one long shot by Getzlaf hit the back side of the post on it's way back from hitting the boards yet Romanuk kept going on and on about the shot hitting the post directly.

Yeah, if they hit the inside of the post and are close to going in, that's one thing. Hitting the far side of the post and going to the corner doesn't mean much.

A puck hitting the post isn't always a bad thing for a goalie. It could mean you weren't giving the guy anything to shoot at. I didn't like that second goal though.
