I know I know it's lame when they pull out the "128 kilometres per hour!!!OMG" on CBC, but they just said that wrist shot was 128 kilometres per hour in the intermission.

80 miles an hour, on the move, through a defender, and into that tiny little hole on the top corner with a wrister. Wow. That's more impressive than anything I've ever seen in the slapshot competition.

Yes, he drew a high sticking penalty in the first period.

It is not lame. Metric all the way, although your analysis is far better.

Brain cramp by the Rangers and Ward hits the post.

Rangers tie it with Fast's leg deflecting it into the net. I think we will have overtime.

Wow, that was crazy! Good timing for anyone who couldn't watch the Flames until this finished.

NYR has every right to be angry here. Hit from behind not called, Boyle injured on the play, and it leads to the game-winning goal.

Good morning for this game and there will be no games this evening. Cocktails for breakfast? The Rangers are going to be angry after last game's fiasco. It should be a rough 1st period.

I really think this is the year Ovi 'gets' it, throws the team on his back and takes them to the Finals

Not impressed with the Caps at all this period. Neutral zone giveaways are just killing them. They literally look like they don't know what to do between the blue lines.

Pregame links, I know it is late. Prince Edward Island viewers apparently joined this game in progress due to their provincial election. The CBC strikes again even when they are not in control.

It is a scoreless tie after one period and the Rangers have a 14-9 edge in shots.
