I was inspired by this post and changed my plans to fly to Vegas Saturday and rent a car then drive to the game Sunday.
Going with a buddy, we would meet up with some CP'ers before the game.

I saw the Flames offer for the road trip but man what a short turnaround. Flying in the same day as the game would be kind of a long day.

Just a heads up to anyone attempting to drive from Vegas to the Greater LA / Anaheim area late Saturday or any time Sunday...
The biggest fight of all time is happening this Saturday night in Vegas, and the traffic from Vegas to the LA area on Sunday is going to be a complete gong show.
Someone said above it's a 3-4 hour drive... that is under optimal conditions. With the traffic moving from the fight back to Southern California, be prepared to spend all day Sunday in traffic.

I totally forgot about the fight in Vegas. Avoid at all costs.
A typical Sunday drive to SoCal from Vegas will run you about 7 hours or more as opposed to the typical 3.5 to 4 hours on other days. Driving to SoCal on a typical Saturday is still 3.5 to 4 hours.
With an event like that happening, I shudder to think what the drive back will be like on a Sunday.
I will NEVER drive to LA from LV on a Sunday ever again.

If anyone is arriving in Vegas Saturday I'd strongly advise to leave Saturday evening or Saturday night and drive in the dark and then stay / sleep in Anaheim.
Anyone attempting to leave Vegas in the early hours Sunday AM is going to be stuck in traffic for a better part of the day. It's going to be an absolute nightmare going from Vegas - the LA area any time Sunday. Definitely avoid at all costs as mentioned above.

Looking online I see that you can fly Calgary to Santa Ana this Saturday for $209 CDN one way (US Airways, all taxes included).
You can fly back on Monday from Santa Ana for $175 CDN (Alaska Airlines). Not bad at all.

I fly back and forth all the time from Santa Ana, and I can tell you that those are as good of prices as you'll ever see.
