Palms has one of the nicest sports book in Vegas and there's usually seating since its off-strip and not well known.
If you care about craft beer, go to the Linq sports book. They serve Chouffe, Delirium, Unibroue, Trappist beers -- all the finest stuff.

Why didn't I put more thought into the playoff schedule when booking my vegas trip... I'm there next week Tuesday - Saturday so I miss both home games. SOAB!
Made a post on the main Flames forum but any ideas for catching the games next week? Anyone else down there?

There's worse places to be, I'd be placing bets in the sportsbook myself. Go big and compound the stress of the cardiac kids a little more.

I still think I have my bet ticket from 2004 when I bet the Flames to win the cup. It was from February. I would have won $1,000 US had they done the video review in Game 6.

I down here right now (but gone by Friday) there will be no problem catching the game at any sports book. Also they are playing all late games and against the "local" team which will work in your favour of getting on the big screen, perhaps sound as well.

Ha ha! I learned the hard way too. Now, I refuse to travel during playoff time unless I know the Flames aren't in the playoffs. Then I would consider it, but I have to be able to watch the Cup deciding game, preferably at home but anywhere I'm guaranteed to watch it.

Yea I won't be making this mistake again. Would work out fine if the Flames were on the road but them being at home (and having tickets already) just chaps my ass even more. haha
And sportbook it is! Might as well throw some money down too.

Anyone ever rented a limo or party bus to go to Anaheim from Vegas. We are down there for game 5 and toying with the idea of day tripping out for the game

Vegas is awesome. That is all. Can't wait to go back again.
Also hadn't been there since the Linq area was all completed so that was cool to checkout. With how much stuff is down the Linq I would consider staying at that hotel in the future. Not sure how the rooms are though.
Also Michael Jackson One at Mandalay Bay is crazy good. Frist cirque show I've even been to and it was awesome.

I'll be returning in September. At that point it will have been 3 years since my last trip. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes made by Linq and by NYNY and Monte Carlo.
For Cirque shows I have seen Mystere and Ka. Went to Mystere thinking, well, whatever makes my wife happy, and I was thoroughly impressed. So we went to Ka. I liked it as well. I was contemplating checking out the Michael Jackson show, but we also want to see O. Decisions, decisions. I guess we'll have to go back next year too!
I can't decide between staying at NYNY or Monte Carlo. I'll be going for a conference at Aria. Since my company is paying for me to go to the conference I decided to save money and not stay at Aria. I'll save money by staying at MC over NYNY but I'm already saving a bit of money by choosing NYNY over Aria. My best friend always stays at Monte Carlo because he doesn't see the need to spend more money. I just really like the character of NYNY. More decisions.

The rooms at the Linq were nice. Nothing fancy but clean and new. We had no complaints when we stayed there in March

I hear NYNY has added a Shake Shack within the casino. Is this true? If so has anyone tried it?

Yup...it's right out front on the strip. Didn't try it though. White Castle opened by the Linq as well.

Yep, NYNY has a Shake Shack. I tried it two weeks back. The entrance is right off the Strip and not in the Casino. However, I wasn't impressed. Burger was ok, fries were meh and the shake was a ripoff. A Peter's milkshake here has better flavour and is a better value. The In-N-Out burger I had was much better.

Wherever you stay at you can ride the tram fro Monte Carlo to Aria, way faster then walking.

Agreed here. The tram is very efficient. But Aria is confusing as hell. Good luck there.

I am not sure that tram is much faster than walking - you have to snake thru the hotels and then upstairs

Yeah, I think if you're already in the hotel for other reasons then taking the Tram would save you time, but if you are coming from outside thinking this would save you walking time, I don't think so.

if you are standing on LV Blvd in front of the bellagio, it seems like a hike to the tram thru the bellagio and then you wait for the tram (5 minutes maybe), then take it to wherever, and snake back thru that hotel and back to LV blvd - never seems like much of a time/effort savings to me.

Hey guys if anyone needs Limo Service in Vegas I have the best driver. She took us to Vegas to Anaheim for game 5 and back and without her the trip would have been a huge dud.
Her name is Kristy and she works for Mammoth Limo. PM me and I will send you her cell phone. Great service!
I had also called her while we were stuck at Vegas Speedway after racing exotics and she sent a colleague that saved us 50 bucks over the company that was at the race track
