Probably not. Lots of teams could use a strong 2-way defenseman with a right handed shot.
I wouldn't even be opposed to pick Gagne at #30.

I'm still hoping we manage to move up in the draft. I think we are at a point with our prospect pool that we can go for quality over quantity.

If Werenski/Barzal/Provorov miraculously get past the top 10, I would hope Treliving could package something to move up a little.

Seriously, this is not a draft that you want to trade away picks in. The quality of players that will be available at 50 or so when we pick with the Canucks pick are the same calibre of guys that went at 30 last year. It's nuts.
The quality of guys available at 15 are only slightly worse than Bennett

That's an overstatement. No chance Bennett would be going around 15 if he was in this draft. Would still be a top 5 pick in this draft.

Agreed. Let's not forget that some people even had Bennett going potentially 1st overall the year leading up to the draft.
Yes, it is a deep draft, but the top 5 and 10 are still better bets and the talent still tapers off relatively speaking. Picking higher in 2015 is no less a good thing than in past years. If anything, some of those talents in the top 5-10 make it even more appealing. The only reason why I wouldn't want to move up this year is because the price is probably higher than in most years.

No way thats true. Bennett is a special talent and probably goes top 5-7 in this draft as well. But I am all for drafting all the picks unless a great trade is available.
