Well, there's no other forward-specific award (except the Selke), so no. And the Ross winner often doesn't win the Hart.

I'd rather have an MOP than MVP. "MVP to his team" is so subjective and I can't fiure out how player A is more valuable to his team than player B is to his. Hard to say Dybnyk isn't at as valuable to Minnie as Price is to the Habs.

I think a lot of people would be upset when the defenceman who wins the most points award still wins the all-around award...

I like the best GM award because it makes any GM who did a deal with that guy that year feel like a loser.

Example - I wouldn't be surprised to see Cheveldayoff in Winnipeg get it, whch makes me laugh at Tim Murray. And while I know Buffalo was tanking, it was still lopsided IMO.
