I am back.... Can I ask why you put my player on the Hold out list when there is still plenty of time to hammer out a deal?

I was hoping to see what kind of market comparables there are for Richardson and what they sign for in the CPHL. The last time I checked I don't think 21 year old 3 goal scorers are worth 1.5 mill.

What kind of bargaining in good faith is this to make him a hold out and try to force me into signing him on your terms. A 4th liner with 3 freaking goals has little leverage IMO.

This whole process was kind of hasty... why not just make all your players hold outs Sunil... sheesh.

I agree with you 100% Drew.

If an agent is asking for a specific amount, ask him to justify it. If he can't, screw that, let him walk. That's what I do at least.

An agent's job is to get as much as he can for his players, but that doesn't mean they should start throwing out random numbers out there just because some GMs choose to overspend. Why does Richardson deserve to make 0.10 less than Ryan Getzlaf?

Brad Richardson 70 69 66 64 60 68 68 65 67 65 64 49 57 70
Ryan Getzlaf 70 66 72 76 79 68 71 71 69 62 70 54 43 73 1.6/year
Stanislav Chistov 66 71 50 57 93 77 73 63 70 71 70 38 22 70 1.8/year

Demands seem fair to me.

Well, if this league was based solely on SIM ratings, you might have a point Marty... but it's based also on the NHL.

Brad Richardson (5th Round Pick) - 41GP, 3G, 10A, 13PTS

Ryan Getzlaf (1st Round Pick) - 57GP, 14G, 25A, 39PTS

and for comparison's sake, we'll take Chistov's first NHL season as well:

Stanislav Chistov (1st Round Pick) - 79GP, 12G, 18A, 30PTS

Not solely based on sim ratings but you cannot ignore them. The sim does not care what they do in the NHL it cares about ratings. Richardson (with those ratings) might be regular 2nd/3rd line player on some teams (Islanders ). That has to be worth something.
