Take Down the Getzlaf Banner for the Series
I know that the banner is to honor Ryan's career with the hitmen.
But during this series, i don't think it's appropriate that the player who poses the single greatest threat to end our miracle year, has a shrine to him hanging in our barn.
It's not as if he's a retired player on the oppistion side (i.e. Yzerman in the lightning v red wings series)
I mean it's junior hockey, and even if the banner just had his name and not a large picture of him i would probably be okay with it.
I want that banner removed or covered or something for the duration of this series and i can't be the only one.

So what? The guy was a stud for the Hitmen and deserves it. Be a classy organization and be respectful. It's a bloody banner, not a 20 ft bronze statue.

We should key Getzlaf's car while we're at it. Similar to what Babcock said, the Flames are playing the Ducks, not against Ryan Getzlaf.

I don't understand how a junior player deserves a banner anyway considering most play what, 3 years? It's like raising a banner in the house of commons for every MP who lasts long enough to get a pension. Rediculous.

The thing that gets me about this is that the Getzlaf banner is not even sitting with all the other Hitman banners. The Getzlaf banner is front and center, meanwhile all the other banners in Hitman history gather dust by the h-vac system....
I say move the Getzlaf banner to go with the rest of the Hitmen banners and give him the H-vac treatment.
