Those numbers have nothing to do with his rule though. They are the typical training camp numbers.

If Bennett had a high number full time it would be 93, Ferland wore 27 in Brandon and 19 for Adirondack.

The tie, the hair, the dip.....I'm pretty sure he just does this to troll twitter now.

And Bennett and the team would have done just as well if he wore 93.

I want to be clear - I posted what I think Burke's reasoning is on high numbers. I didn't endorse that reasoning.

Agree

I think Bennett will be quite content with 39.

If he's allowed 39. IIRC the only #s allowed are 1-35.

I think Conroy mentioned he wants to raise it to 44.

Some of those videos were pretty awesome. Gives you chills hearing the dome erupt on Stajan's mic'd up goal. Love seeing the locker room stuff as well. Team make up is so important both on and off the ice and I think it was a huge downfall during the Iginla era Flames and is a major strong point of this team.

He most likely has a stipulation in his contract about dress code. Alond the lines of suit and tie. He probably hates that and it probably does not specifically it has to be done up.
