Ramo. Ducks have Hillers number.
It's nice that I can say that and not feel like either would be a bad choice.
This team has come a looooooooooooong way from two years ago.

Think you have to go Hiller.
Guy is rolling a .931 save percentage in the playoffs so far.
Ramo had a decent effort to come in and clean it up but wasn't so remarkable that he has to start game 1 (I really didn't like the Sbisa goal).

Most times, when you see a goalie get pulled, they go to the DR and then return shortly afterwards. I imagine they put on some dry gear to sit in. And cool off a bit.

I think the Flames start Hiller in Anaheim. It will be huge if the Flames can steal one of those first two games.
Hiller could stand on his head and really put on a show in his old barn. And if he wavers we know Hartley has full confidence in going to Ramo if necessary.

This, he'd probably change his undershirt since it's probably a bit soaked. He'll grab a hat most likely too, so either way it's not a "I'm pissed of so F.U. guys"....

Go to Hiller. He's been solid so far minus that little blip

Hiller. He played great for most of the first round and I think he deserves to get the nod.
Also, do we even know if Ramo is feeling 100%? He came in as a backup but is he good to start vs. the Ducks after that late season injury?

I believe in the Jays.
|
Ramo. Yes I know Hiller is the better storyline narrative but the Ducks will have a far better book on Jonas Hiller then they'll have on Karri Ramo.

Hiller for sure. When Hartley apologizes in front of the team to Hiller and says it was not performance why he was pulled. He was saying to Hiller you are my man. Does not mean he will not pull him again if he is weak. Feeling we will see both a fair bit in this series..

It will be Hiller. If we see Ramo, things probably aren't going well.

I would probably start Ramo, but I think Hiller will get the start and that's fine as well. I would be surprised if the Flames haven't started both Ramo and Hiller at some point in the first 4 games anyhow.

Jonas Hiller on possibly starting vs. the Ducks… or not: “I mean, I know what’s going on. But I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell or not."

See? This shouldn't have even been a discussion. Hiller is the guy for this run. Not surprised they made this announcement so far away from the start of game #1.

Calgary goalie Jonas Hiller said he wants “nothing more” than to show his former team “made a mistake” in getting rid of him.
And now, the Flames will oblige.
On Monday, head coach Bob Hartley confirmed that Hiller would be the Game 1 starter when the Flames open their second round series against Anaheim — the team that Hiller spent the first seven years of his NHL career with, before being allowed to walk last summer in free agency.
