I think Jones was great but a lot of us recognized how good the 3rd line was. However Bollig was very underrated. He chipped in with a lot of hits and scored a big goal

Hiller and Backlund were good, but I think they've been getting a lot of love and have not been underrated.

So definitely Jones. Hopefully he continues his good play. He's been pretty consistent so far.

That's who I went with. Started the offense ball rolling.

Not only that but has been hitting, blocking shots, skating hard, playing smart, taking shots. It wasn't too long ago he was a perpetual healthy scratch and I would wince at the thought of putting him into the lineup. Now I would be upset if he was taken out of the lineup and we're in round 2 of the playoffs.

IMO, the reason the games in Calgary were so different than the games in Vancouver had a lot to do with the Fact that Hartley could get Backlund's line against the Sedins.

That makes me inclined to choose Backlund, and the fact that he's sitting so low in the poll so far confirms it.

I voted Colborne. Good forecheck and created space for his linemates.

Maybe it was Jones though.

Jones. But I almost went Jooris, who worked the PK well.

Jones has been really good for us but I had to give it to Eneglland. The guy was almost written off because of his contract and early play but this series he's stepped up in a huge way. He did have one defensive laps that cost us game 5 but other than that he's been solid.

I voted Engelland as he had the toughest challenge playing top 4 minutes in the playoffs and did it well. That said close runner ups were Jones and Colborne. Jones has finally found his role on this team and he's become an effective role player for this team playing at both ends of the ice. Colborne was very effective in hemming the Canucks in their own zone as we finally saw glimpses of him using his size. Had he been playing with a center that was on his game offensively he may have been up there with the first line for scoring this series.

Jones, Backlund, Engelland - take your pick. Jones, Ferland, Stajan had a grat series. Backlund was good with Bennett. And Engelland really stepped up. Hard to pick one, went with Jones tho

Voted for Backlund for reasons mentioned above, although Stajan certainly should be a consideration as well.

I can't help but think Potter should get the call instead of Wotherspoon next series. Wotherspoon is such a liability out there, his shifts provide nothing positive to the game. He has slow feet, he doesn't read the play well at all defending the rush, slow to react to plays, and doesn't know how to use his stick to clear the front of the net (1st goal on Saturday). We need someone in there who can play 9 or 10 minutes a night, not 3 or 4... Hopefully Potter can do that for us.

Engellend for me as well. Game 6: lead the team in blocked shots and takeaways, and also made the key play to finally end the momentum the canucks had with those 4 consecutive icing calls.

So many to choose from but I'd go with Hiller. Sure we had to pull him in game 6 but he was unreal the first couple of games. Held it down and was actually pretty consistent. He found that playoff intensity that we needed in net.

Russell, Wideman and Brodie all played close to 27 minutes per game.

Stajan's line played mostly against the Sedins at home, and shut them down. Stajan's line was not on the ice for a single goal against in the entire series.

The only times the Sedins were able to score at the Saddledome were on the power play, when Stajan wasn't on the ice.

I threw my vote in for Hiller. Stood on his head a few times. Rough start to game 6 but it looked like the whole team wasn't ready to play hard defence for the first 10 minutes. Thought he helped steal game 1 in Vancouver and shut down the Canucks when they were pushing.

I'm gonna go with Ragin' Stajan.

He was a consumate pro, hardly noticed because he was steady eddy out there.

Having the presence of mine to not rush the shot on the series clincher speaks to the way he carried himself the entire series. Composed, disciplined technically proficient.

Loving me some Stajan right now.
