Couple of new additions are the "OK Oneplus" always listening feature and the lock screen improvements... both are pretty cool. OK Oneplus doesn't configure right if you are using the OK Google feature, have to turn it off before setting up.

So I still haven't received this update OTA. I read that other people have just downloaded and flashed the update themselves. Is this very complicated to do? I do have mine rooted with CWM installed so I'm kind of familiar with this stuff. Would flashing erase everything or is there a way to update it so my stuff doesn't all get erased?

They delayed this OTA a day into deployment because of a the OK Oneplus and a critical bugfix related to OTAs. They just started redeployment yesterday.
Flashing the OTA isn't difficult. You have to copy the image onto the phone and flash from recovery or put the phone into sideload state and type in one command. Lots of guides online on how to do this. Either that or you put it on the PC and sideload it, but the software to connect to your PC can be finnicky.

Just want to say this latest firmware is excellent.
I'm about 30 hours since I charged last, and will get another day out of it, maybe. It's superb.

Yes. I have only ever used stock firmware. Cleaned cache after install but never wiped. Get 48 hours with 'normal' use. On first update to L, I wouldn't get 24. I do run pretty light though - not many always on apps. I am very pleased with latest OTA though

Stock. That screen showing apps that use battery most, click on battery chart and get a look at other things, including 'Awake' for a quick look at whether or not your phone is sleeping, like it should when it should (wake lock issues, like in first OTA update).

Anybody know if us One Plus users will get first dibs on the Plus two when it gets released? I already have a couple buddies whom are asking for the plus two. Through, it looks like its gonna get delayed till 2016. Also looks like you need invites.

So I have a custom rom on my phone and I'm trying to switch from Rogers to Fido. Does anyone know why it wont work? It pulls the Fido APN's into the phone, but I'm still stuck on emergency calls only. Is it a flashed bootloader that is causing it? I wasn't aware of issues of modded phones just not being able to register on the carrier's network.

Running CM? I found I often had to delete all the APN's reboot, add the one's you need back in manually and reboot again. I often have APN issues with CM ROMs.
I am assuming the 1+ 1 is factory unlocked for carriers?

As far as everything I know, it is completely unlocked. I went through those APNS and reboot quite a few times. I also just put the SIM in my old phone and it works. I'm running CM 12.1? with the Bliss Pop Bacon ROM. Under Bootloader on the phone, it says unknown. I think I may need to register and post this to the ROM forum on XDA

Blisspop is based on CM sources. As long as you delete them all and only install the one you need that part should work. I'll have a quick look on XDA and see if I can come up with anything.
There are some issues with certain basebands and network combos. What baseband are you one? People reporting problems with 241 on certain networks (mostly overseas).

My baseband is di.3.0.c6-00241-m8974aaaaanazm-1. I've tried a few ROMS and a few firmwares. I guess I'll try CM11 based if that is the issue. Could you link to those reported baseband / network issues? Thanks.

a little late... but uh... did you try flipping the sim card around?
I had the sim card in backwards for a day and a half even though I removed it and put it back in several times before I figured it out...

New pricing for the One+. Starting at $249
Not bad at all if you are in the market for a phone and don't want the contract.

OnePlus 2 Marked for July Release Date
Quote:
A recent rumor from MyDrivers pins a release date of “July” for the next iteration. Current rumors claim the OnePlus 2 will feature a Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM, a 1920 x 1080 display, 3300 mAh battery, and a 13MP camera.
|
http://www.xda-developers.com/oneplu...-release-date/
The 810 has been plagued with overheating on the HTC M9 as well as the new Sony Xperia. Not sure that's a smart move going with the 810. LG decided not to in the G4 because of issues.
Edit: They are indeed using the 810 processor, but apparently rev 2.1 which claims to not overheat. Guess time will tell.
Quote:
Apparently OnePlus’s engineers “debated endlessly” over which processor best suits its second generation smartphone and “always came back to the 810″ for “its speed and ability to multitask while maintaining optimal battery performance.” Not only will the 810 be the “driving force behind the OnePlus 2’s impressive specs, ” it will feature and improved version of the chipset (v2.1) that promised not to overheat.

2nd Edit: If you are interested in reading more on the 810 processor and claims that it runs cooler, XDA had a good article with some more details here:
