I am still on such an incredible high. To be surrounded by canuck fans is normally annoying but today it is beyond awesome. I'm trying to talk hockey with everyone and they're like 'shut up' and I'm like 'but Stajan, Ferland, Monahan, flames, Johnny Hockey... did you see the game !?! you lose SUCKAS!!!!"

Life's great, I feel like I may never stop smiling.

Sounds like Stajan and Richarson are attending a wedding in the summer. Sounded like "soupy's wedding".

Matt Stajan is the freaking best. He was giving compliments to every player, tells Miller he gave his team a chance, tells Sedin their possession is great, gives Baertschi a hug tells him it's good to see him. He even was nice to the guy that punched him when he was down. With guys like Conroy and Iginla having graced the uniform they set a bar for class and humility and Stajan just blew it away. One of the best guys we've ever had. Watching the room applauding him was magic.

Funny how just a couple months ago, everyone wanted him out. Now that we finally get to see inside the locker room essentially, he's a special player that deserves every penny in his contract.

Is this true though? I seem to recall most posters being very complimentary of Stajan dating back to late last season. Or if not complimentary at least understanding that he was no longer a player that needed to be jettisoned off the team.

That hasn't been the case for almost 2 years now. Read the Freakin Stajan thread.

He's a perfect 3rd/4th line C. Maybe a tad overpaid but we have the money and cap room. I bet he sticks around Calgary a long time.

It is but he's already married unless he recently got divorced and is remarrying.

Pretty crazy how they happened to have Stajan in probably the biggest game of his career (so far )
We should mic him up every game going forward!
