That's hilarious.

Haha, such sour grapes. Canucks fans are the worst. The worst!
Glad to hear it was fun and respectful last night. Was hoping to make it out last night but too busy and too old. Lol. Just relaxed at home and went to bed after the game. I suck, haha.

Seemed like lots of good clean fun everywhere...maybe it was too cold for flashing.

I think it's way way better without boobs. Why? Because then it's actually about the Flames. The stories of redemption and the won't quit find a way underdog Flames are taking front and center. If you want boobs go to a strip club or the internet, I like the red mile being about the Flames. I haven't heard of any harassment towards the females (not that there wasn't any) and that makes me glad. Good work being considerate of the Canucks fans too, the game is so much better when it's about the team and not other nonsense.
I was initially for the public wildness but hearing about the levels of harassment that occurred 11 years ago totally changed my mind on that.

The Red Mile was so much fun last night! Walked up and down a couple times with my friends that I watched the game with before we settled in front of The Ship & National. Ended up running into pretty much everyone I went to high school with and partied with them for the rest of the night.
It was definitely rowdy, in the best way possible. And very safe too. Saw a bunch of families with kids and even a few nucks fans.
Looking forward to round 2!

The truth is there are sociopaths out there that think sexual harassment is perfectly acceptable, however they can be found everywhere, not just in Calgary.
I agree with a previous poster on one point, Vancouver does seem like a more likely place for this stuff to happen.

Flashing did occur. It happened by the Ship and Anchor around 11:50 or so (when I was on my way home). But I do recall I did not hear any chants prior to it happening. There were a few FHITP chants behind me by two guys when I was walking from the dome, but something was said and they stopped within half a block of walking.
Smashed bottles were in their highest concentrations around 5th street. Saw lots of guys helping the homeless guys out in collecting cans though.
The worst damage was really the smashed bottles on the ground. Saw a few cops taking pictures with guys who had their booze confiscated and was pouring it out in a deliberate show (for the pic). Huge pile of confiscated and poured out booze on a hydrant by Western.
Did not see any fights at all. There was a fire poi show around 7th and 8th street which was pretty cool.
Overall, fans were good.

Not that it will change the sentiment of your post but I'm pretty sure the chant was "F### the Ducks". Not that I would have any first hand information regarding this, especially not walking repeatedly into random stores full of people and leaving with the entire place repeating the chant.....

That's why I only go after a home game. Filled with people who were at the Dome and it's about the hockey. Other than that it's a bunch of 18-22 year old clowns who haven't let go of the high school party scene.

6th street to 8th street was very PG 13. I saw lots of kids there, guys helping the homeless, cops being awesome, fire poi shows, chanting and people just taking it in.
2nd street to about 5th street due to the hubris at the ship and anchor were the so called worst, but overall I wouldn't say I was worried at all and I didn't really hear much in terms of chants in poor taste.

Red Mile was awesome last night. I saw no issues, just clean fun. At one point a guy wearing no jersey just dressed in black, was drinking. He threw a glass bottle which let out a loud crash. The crowd instantly turned on him and booed. You could tell he was visibly scared and regretting his actions. Was a cool moment, the crowd was collectively parenting; "not in our city".

Nothing but good natured fun last night. The media blew this harassment thing way out of proportion.
Its nice that the Flames put out a message about celebrating responsibly, although it wasn't needed.
There were a few girls I saw that were skimpily dressed which was hilarious because it was effing freezing last night.

totally agree.
I am old enough to remember walking along 17th in 2004 when it wasn't called the Red Mile and during the Van/Detroit series it was pretty awesome, but it was just a spontaneous act.
I knew it was changing during the SJ series because people started hanging out and celebrating in droves after Flames losses...
that made zero sense to me and struck me as a bunch of people just looking to party... nothing was worse than the "celebration" that took place following the OT loss in game 6 vs TB...

Or perhaps the very reason the celebration was kept in good taste last night was precisely because the media made an issue out of it and the Flames publicly advised fans about how they want them to represent the city.
