Hextall should take note of what happened to the last GM to hire Eakins as I would expect the same fate should he hire what is simply one of the worst NHL head coaches in some time.

Eakins wasn't a bad coach, the team just had 2 bad years, they should've been more patient.
With McDavid coming in, Eakins would have probably been nominated for the Jack Adams. Regardless of the past, Eakins will be a better fit in Philly than that enforcer-turned-coach Berube.
