After beating Vancouver, I honestly don't care if we lose quickly to Anaheim.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if we make a series out of it. Hope to see us stay undefeated at home!

Sounds like Friday/Sunday in Anaheim, so Tuesday/Thursday here.

An extra week of healing time... Byron or Bouma would be great additions!

"Negativity" is not a word found in the official dictionary of the Calgary Flames.

FLAMES IN 6!
"Hiller's Revenge"
MATTY-the eliminator-FRANCHISE-STAJAN, GWG.

Obviously I hope they go far but after putting Van to bed I'm not going to be upset if Anaheim is the end of the road. However given the momentum at the end of Game 6, they just might steamroll right past the Ducks.

Would be nice to be in a series where the opposing team didn't have a player that didn't make my blood boil though. I almost forgot how much I hate Kessler. Should remember by Friday.

this series goes to game 7 for sure, where we finally break the curse in the pond. We can beat the ducks.

Flames in 6. Bouma returns this series and the Duck get a mouthful of plexiglass care of Ferland And Bouma.

Firmly the underdogs now.

Would go a long way to 'break the Anaheim building curse' in game 1. It's all the broadcasts and anybody are going to be keying in on, and will be doubly so if they lose the first two.

That said, in '04 everyone was just happy to be in the second round and expected a quick out against Detroit -- we know how that went! Anything can happen, now that they've beaten Vancouver and shown the 'unsustainable' crowd where they can stick it, it's time to just enjoy the rest of the ride. Go Flames!

I think it will be the Ducks in 6, but the Flames have absolutely no pressure right now so anything can happen.

Can't wait. My brother is a huge Ducks fan and I still remember all the teasing he gave me in 2006 ... time for payback!!!

That being said, it's really all gravy for me at this point. I badly wanted the Flames to beat Vancouver, but I won't be sad at all if they lose to Anaheim which is the team to beat in the West this year.

This is a series Anaheim should win in 5. But we don't like odds, so we tend to defy them. Huge uphill climb, but we'll see what happens.

Also, once he plays game 3 of the series, Bennett is going to burn the first year of his contract. Totally worth it!

Serious questions for the mods...if we refer to Perry as Katy Perry, is that a no go?

Not a mod, but I would recommend against it. Not only would it make one look like a d-bag, it would only cause arguments here.

I was under the impression that 9-game rule thing didn't apply in the playoffs?

It does. I don't care at all though, the experience Bennett is gaining in the playoffs is absolutely worth it. The kid will benefit from this, no doubt.

Is that all it takes now to be classified as a d-bag? I guess all Jets fans that chanted this are ######s. Might as well throw the Flames fans that chanted "Ricci's Ugly" in there too.
