By the time game one rolls around, Ramo will have seen action in 3 games in the past month for a total of 58 minutes of game action. His last actual start (not counting the EDM game where he left a few minutes in) was vs Minnesota on March 27th where he was pulled with 6 minutes left after giving up 3 goals in the third.
I just don't think Ramo is a chance they can afford to take at this point. Hiller is 9-3 in his last 12 down the stretch and in the playoffs. He just had a series where he did a hell of a job and I just don't see a need to rock the boat in goal now that we are back to a clean slate with a new series starting.
If Hiller melts down at any point, by all means give Karri a shot. Until then, Hiller deserves to continue to run with the starters job. I don't think there's any question about it.

Stick with Ramo, made some quality saves back stopping the comeback. Great poke check on Sedin in the final minutes. Ride the hot hand and then back to Hiller if/when he struggles. Having 2 quality 'tenders is a very nice luxury. Off topic, is Ramo RFA or UFA this summer?
Props to Ramo for getting the win but I think Hiller deserves a chance to redeem himself. Other than tonight which I don't think was completely his fault he's played awesome and he's got to be pumped to get revenge on the Ducks for giving up on him. If he falls apart in game one then give Ramo the start in game 2.

This.
Said so perfectly I don't feel the need to add anything.

Too bad. I'll be sorry to see Karri go. I think he's the better goalie for this team but my guess is we're heading for a 1a/1b of Ortio/Gillies in the next couple of years so they'll take let Hiller mentor Ortio next year and have Gillies dominate in the AHL for a year.

I am more comfortable with Ramo in net, with that said I would start Hiller. Hiller played well all series (except 10 minutes) against the canucks. He deserves to start, not to mention you have to think he is motivated to beat the ducks. Sure he didn't have a ton of success in the regular season, but the playoffs are a whole different beast. My prediction is Hiller starts game 1 and could very well steal it for the flames.
