Wow.. SO pumped. What a game to be at. Took my mom (who's in her late 60's) for her first playoff hockey game and she was awesome! Cheered the whole game, rocked her thunder sticks (even though I prefer clapping), and high five'd everyone around us. She was absolutely stoked to be there and to experience that game and the win. And it was amazing to be able to share such an intense, wild, and typical Calgary Flames #neverquit hockey game with her.

Bring on the duck hunting and GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!

Edit to add: Also loved going through 28 pages of this thread and reading everything! What a great place this is!

I hated the phaneuf trade and both signings but I'm happy to admit I've never been more wrong about Stajan

That was awesome! So awesome! Unreal hockey game. I won't lie I was prepping for game 7 when we were down 3-0. My gut just said score one in the first and we'll be fine.

All my friends watching the game with me thought it was bush that Ferland netted that lay goal. I just laughed and said second round baby!!! The tears were better than the Yellow Dog beer we had.

I don't think we win without Ferland's goal in the first period. That was gigantic and Stajan was a big part of that too.

Sedins were both minus 2.

Anyone see Kevin shake hands with Ferland? I missed that.

Engelland played more in that one shift with all the icings than Wotherspoon did in the entire game. Legitimately.

Yup, watched it live. No different then any other handshake by either guy, nor anyone else on the Canucks toward Ferland.

So awesome. Thanks for that.

Matt Stajan: Fan Favorite.

I like the sound of that.

my 7 year old and 5 year old learned some new not nice words when we went down 3.

I then had to leave the house after the Hudler empty netter, walk into the street in Edmonton in front of our house, and scream Yahoo as loud as I ever have in my life. Surprised I did not wake up my 4 year old who was sleeping.

After the last horn went, my 7 year old and I both went outside to yell Yahoo again.

So proud of this team. Really missing my city right now. Please post lots of pictures from tonight's celebration in the street for those of us who live out of town.

they were about to shake hands and they changed the camera angle!

although it looked like the Canucks were giving him major props

other than Bieksa and Sven I must admit the Canucks were all class off the ice this series

Is the game being replayed? Aeneas says it is on at 5:00 am on Sportsnet?

He is right - SN1 at 5:00 am.

likely not as stressful on the 2nd watch...although it would be nice to pinpoint the exact moments when the Canucks fans hearts snap in two

Engellened was great tonight. Will be overlooked in the offensive glory, but was our defensive juggernaut this evening.

10 blocked shots. Entire team total was 23.
Lead the team with 3 takeaways
2 hits to lead all blueliners

Absolutely what we needed tonight.

DE is a stud. Plain and simple. One cannot ever forget him rag dolling Dorsett with Hamhuis on his, then taking Hamhuis down.

He made a sliding play too to block a Sedin cross ice pass. Almost 25 mins.

he has more than earned his salary, considering they don't make the playoffs without him
