Moments after the final buzzer went off in tonight’s game, the explosions in the sky began at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

So happy, have no finger nails or lungs left. The Flames showed their character and really took over this game at the halfway mark.

To the poster who beaked that this series was over and made me edit a great profanity laced post that would have probably gotten me banned from this site I have one thing to say.

Oh and

And on top of that

Sour Grapes. The refs were terrible throughout the series and I'm not convinced they were remotely terrible in the Flames favour...
I would agree that Ferland probably did charge. But the refs were just incompetent all around. Did Baerstchi forget about the blatantly obvious interference on Brodie that lead to a goal? Probably.

Yeah, baby! Ok, people, I've spent the last four hours on the plain and just getting off. I know we won. Please, please give me a quick story. And highlights. Who? How?

Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, that Stajan goal is one of those moments that will go down as a big one for this organization. Because of when it was scored, who it was against, who scored it and what that man has been through. All of those reasons and more. Sports is about moments and that one is a moment.

Fans will always complain, just look at CP and the complaining about calls.

Sven is a player though and showed why the Flames moves away from so much skill through his comments tonight. Literally they were the first words out of his mouth when asked about the game. Unreal! Another poster said it perfectly that Sven never looks inward as the issue.

Contrast him with Desjardins who was asked specifically about the penalty and he just said calls go both ways and it's happened to both teams, gotta fight through it. That's it. Credit to him.

So many of my friends sent me messages on FB after the 3-0 and I always responded with "this is how we want them!"

So incredibly proud of this group, they always find a way, and never give up!

Hartley' press conference:

- wanted to go down striking (swinging), not looking
- changing the goalie changes the pace of the game
- Brodie was supersonic, this guy can fly, unbelievable the way he reads the play
- has been in great markets but has never seen anything like this before (speaking of the fans), need to yell line changes on the bench
- game 1 was the difference in the series when they scored with 30 secs left

Refs were terrible all around. Don't complain about the goalie interference call when the refs missed a bad interference call on Colborne on the 1st that led to a Canucks goal.
