Tyler is a pretty skeezy player. Snooping in people's bags, runs off to disclose the details of secret conversations as soon as they happen. I'd be wary of having him anywhere near my alliance.

Super skeezy...
I feel like there should be a rule about that and going through people's personal belonging.
I remember last season someone looked into personal belongings and found an idol.

Right now there's no chance of it because the three people on the jury outright hate him. See that's the problem this year is they've put together a really unlikeable cast.
If Tyler outs the vote advantage, Dan would be the next logical vote out, and he can easily gain a new alliance with his double vote. In fact, if he were to approach Mike, and Shirin, that gives that group 4 votes, and then they just have to get one more to toss Rodney (I think) and turn the numbers in the game.
Plus, if Mike could get Dan and Shirin onto his side he's got a surefire case of two poison players in front of the jury and he wins for making a great play.
I really liked Jen, anyone who says that the only reason why she wants to keep playing is to screw up peoples games, and then her farewell speech was basically a middle finger to each individual survivor would get my vote every single time.
I look at who's left.
Tyler - has played himself up as the guy crawling through the grass.
Shirin - is hated on a personal level (BTW, Will way off side you idiot)
Dan - a complete social moron with incredible luck.
Mike - sure you hate the auction move, but admit it people you all would have done the same thing, Mike was stupid for pulling back and it was really transparent why.
Rodney - is overplaying, and his whole desire for a bro down is so stupid. Every move he makes really backfires, I consider him to be the king of the morons. And for a guy in shape, he's worthless at challenges.
Sierra - She really has the power in this game if she actually played the game.
Mamma Cas or whatever her name is - She's another hanger on who's done nothing to play this game. Plus she's just a mean spirited shrew.
Will - worthless at all aspect of this game, he's a hanger on, and he's physically worthless, in fact if there was a challenge where he had to carry a briefcase across a bridge he'd find a way to mess it up. His explosion at Shirm was completely stupid, and then his begging for the letter in exchange for sitting out the challenge. What kind of leveraged negotiating position is that, he's never going to come close to winning a challenge that takes brains, or swimming, or footspeed, or converting atmosphere into co2. Shirm should have called him on it that way and then stuck her middle finger in his face and rubbed it around.
I do know one thing, the final episode in front of a jury could be the best one in years because this cast, they genuinely hate each other. I just want to see Jen stand up and say "f you, f you and especially f you. Thanks Jeff"

Whats with the vote splitting? Why don't they all just vote for who they want out?

Everyone is paranoid about the immunity idol.
If one of the targets in the minority alliance plays an idol, it still allows the majority to eliminate someone else in the minority alliance without losing any of their own.
I like it, the votes the last few seasons haven't been so lopsided because of vote splitting.

right.... but imagine if Joe had made his fake idol a couple days earlier and left his bag out to be found.
I agree with you, but once people know it's fair game, then it will play as part of the game.
Or you burn the clues after you get them.
One thing I noticed was Hali's body language when Shirin opened up at tribal counsel. Hali was furious that Will went where he did.

Finally watched last week's episode, this is probably the most unlikeable cast ever. Even in the past when almost all of them were scumbags there was still someone left who I'd like to win, at this point I'm only watching to cheer as they lose one by one.

Wow, that was a brilliant attempt at a bluff in the Tribal. I wish it would have worked. That would have been nuts!

It could still work. I bet that six start turning on each other, Dan's ego is too big to let two votes against him go over his head.
Even if it didn't save Shirin, I like that move by Mike - and think he made the correct decision keeping the idol for himself and bet them turning on each other. It was even worth just seeing Tyler (who was very smug this episode) lose his smirk. That was another good episode.
Also, Dan saying he's an adopted child in response to Jeff asking him if he was a victim of domestic abuse = wtf?

Dan is just plain dumb, when he talked about listing his moves, I laughed pretty hard.
You can see that the jury outright hates Dan and Will. I don't think Mamma Cass is getting many votes either.
When the alliance gleefully cheered the results of the vote you could see the Jury making hard notes.
It was a stupid move not getting rid of Tyler, as much as Rodney thinks he's in charge of the game, he's only going as far as the rest let him and he's useless in challenges.
Right now Tyler and Mike are the only ones getting jury votes. Sierra had a absolute chance to do a blind side and chickened out.
Mike's move was exceptionally bright and it did fracture the alliance as Dan's ego can't handle the votes against and now he's still sitting on an idol. If he doesn't win immunity next week he has to play it.

Years ago I think there were 2 absolute rules when being on Survivor.
1. You can't physically fight another castaway.
2. You can't go through another castaway's stuff
I remember a previous season (China?) where people could see that James had idols in his bag but couldn't actually check.
Obviously CBS decided theft is cool now.

On one hand I agree on the other hand the social aspect is a big part of the game and not having a rule leads to the things we see. It allows you and in some cases the players to see who is scared, who isn't really who they say they are etc.
In the preview for next week we see that Tyler threw of the votes to Dan and will have to scramble to explain why. The why of course is he wants the guy with two votes out but he can't say that because then he has to admit he went through a guys belongings. So he has to lie and and it has to be a good one or people will get suspicious etc etc etc.
you don't get any of that if they make a rule.

I thought that it was a great tribal and Dan is an idiot. The adopted thing made me laugh my ass off. But what I appreciate is Sharin's exit interview and how she didn't blame Mike for not playing the idol. That she understood it. Instead of being bitter she was always happy to just be there. Not good for game play and not a good player, but good to see someone understand that this is just a game in the long run.

It will be interesting to see the fall out of Will and Shirin's blow up after this season is done. She claims she was assaulted, verbally, which is just as bad as physical. As a representative of Survivor, Jeff pretty much confirmed that at last nights tribal.
SO that being said, since there is a ban on physical confrontations, where does the line get drawn on verbal confrontations?
I do agree that Will went to far, way to far, but what I don't like is how Shirin sits there making faces and calling everyone else idiots and seems to think that is ok? She has outright called people idiots. You might not see that as severe as what Will did, but it falls in the same category.
Dan was right in his interview when he talks about Shirin being a hypocrite. I feel bad she had to go through what she went through, but as a Survivor player man did I find her irritating. And when 100% of the rest of the tribe does as well... that tells you something.
If it was up to me I would be sitting beside Dan and Shirin at the end. I wouldn't even have to talk.

Yeah, you're right GL, but I think that the key difference is that Shirin is calling people idiots in terms of the context of the game.
If you don't keep me around you're an idiot
If you don't vote Tyler out you're an idiot.
Will's imho was way too personal.
This is a purely poisoned final group right now. You can see the animosity streaming off of the jury, and now you have two girls in Shirim and Jenn who I think are going to control the jury and hate Will, Dan, Rodney and Mamma Cass.
Right now they have to be applauding Mike's move, I don't think they'll hold him keeping the idol against him.
Right now this game is boiling down to Mike winning immunity and I don't see anyone that can challenge him physically. But if the game goes to puzzles he's in trouble. He still has that idol, and he now has Dan realizing how stupid he is.

Ya that is a good point, there is a difference there. I still don't feel Shirin is as innocent as she makes herself out to be though.
I especially found it funny how she kept writing people's names down that she was "allied" with to save her own skin. It makes sense, but it would definitely cost you votes at the end. Was Shirin playing to get to the end or playing to win? People use to rag on Russell for this all of the time. I don't think she has it in her to actually win this game no matter where she finishes.
