This is all part of the learning experience for our young guys. They came out and had a great first period on the road but for whatever reason decided to try and sit on a one goal lead. I expect them to have a better showing next game.

Horrible. What a soft effort by Calgary tonight. Too many no look passes, way too many turnovers. Flames looked gassed this game, Canucks seriously outplayed them. Need to pick it up on Saturday.

Also, Ferland seemed invisible tonight. Woulda liked somore more physicality from him.

Tough one. Van outplayed us by a wide margin. This is the benefit of winning one in Van the first time around though, as we've still left ourselves a win and we're in game at home on Sat.

Shake this one off and get back to doing the things that help us win hockey games.

Sven Baertschi with a team low 8:57, why does Willie hate him? Why won't anyone give him a chance?

If hartley thinks he'll win this with 5 men just standing in front of hiller the whole game then we've got a problem. It's nice our players say before the game they can't sit back but then they sit back all game.

^That's been Hartley's strategy against the Sedins all series; they don't chase just hug the posts.

What an absurd stat... not only are none of those players on the team, the majority of them have retired. They're wearing the same jersey but they're a completely different team.

OK. I'm done being mad....

Young team just learned what it would take to eliminate a team. Expect a much better game on home ice nonetheless.

Go Flames Go!

One of the youngest teams in the playoffs just learned how hard it is to put away a team about to be eliminated.

We will get better.

They played bad and lost. Pretty simple. Backlund line was very good. Hiller was great. The top line was pretty bad.

Hopefully they stop the fancy garbage (extra passes, toe drags) and get back to simple, winning hockey. Not a great game tonight at all.

They'll win Saturday.

I blame Mason Raymond and his no shot breakaway.

People piled on me in the game day thread but this curse is organizational and transcends the players. Nobody should be shocked if 1993 repeats.

Shots 43-21...

I still think the Flames will win Game 6, but if Game 6 starts with more Canucks domination, the Canucks will be heavy favorites to win the series.

I feel like I've seen better effort with the little Timbits games at the Dome at intermission. I hope being back in the Dome with the hometown crowd fires the guys up a TON.

Flames came out really flat and didn't keep up the physical game, they were a bit to loose.

The Flames have learned lessons and bounced back all year. I expect that the Flames come out a little angry on Saturday, and a little chastised by Bob.

I would expect a way better effort.

Remember that the Canucks played the same game in game two and then fell apart when they didn't have the last line change in Calgary.

The Canucks were on their back, now they're on their knees its time to sock em in the jaw and finish it.

Snoozer of a game. Not going to win outshot two to one. The real Flames show up Saturday and win it for the hometown fans.
