Seriously? Absolute phantom call on Ferland followed by several blatant infractions missed against Vancouver.
That was one of the worst officiated periods in the series.

Hartley will have them prepared for the 3rd period. Besides the Nucks still need another goal and they may have to open it up a bit.

Rule 60 – High-sticking
60.1 High-sticking - A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height
of the opponent’s shoulders. Players must be in control and
responsible for their stick. However, a player is permitted accidental
contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or
follow through of a shooting motion, or accidental contact on the
opposing center who is bent over during the course of a face-off. A
wild swing at a bouncing puck would not be considered a normal
windup or follow through and any contact to an opponent above the
height of the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly.
|
High-stick on Backlund a penalty regardless - players are responsible for their stick.

In my opinion, shots on goal are one of the most misleading stats in hockey.
With that said, the Canucks are throwing everything they can at the Flames. They need to get their feet moving again. Huge third period coming up.

He didn't carry it above shoulder level - Bollig made it go there. That's never called.

Ha. That shot of the bar in Vancouver after their goal could have been while watching golf.

It's tied going into the third despite being outshot 17-8 and 17-8. They've thrown everything they've got at Hiller and it's tied at 1. Flames will win this, I'm quite sure of it.

It's a tie game on the road going into the third, to eliminate the Canucks. I will take it.

Haha, this made me laugh because all season I have been fine with this but tonight I am actually nervous.
I hope the guys on the ice aren't. I know we can do it and I am still nervous.
I love Russell and Brodie tonight, Hiller is a stud!! Just get some more quality chances and Miller will let some in.
Come on boys!

Playoff history is irrelevant. This is a completely different team with a totally different culture. I agree regarding the first line though. They've been a total non-factor in this game, and that worries me. Can't win if your offence doesn't show up.
