Yep good 1st period. Look for the Nuck's to start pressing and either take dumb penalties or give up odd man rushes to the a Flames.

But the top line has not been invisible at least. Monahan is playing soooooo much better than he did in Games 1 and 2.

Hiller has kept the Flames in it to a certain degree. Great forecheck, once again, ho hum.

Bennett needs to keep the stick down. But Weber won't be getting in his way like that any time soon.

If you would have told me this morning we would have a 1-0 lead after the first, I would have taken it no questions asked.

Now the Flames just need to come out and dictate the pace in the second.

"Perhaps the greatest moment in Canucks history"

That's kind of sad

The Canucks have gotta be gripping their sticks a bit. Do or die game, they've gotten plenty of scoring chances, and they haven't been able to solve Hiller. Hopefully they'll try to push too hard in the 2nd, take some dumb penalties, and give up a few odd man rushes.

Breaking news: Kate Upton just went to the Flames dressing room and asked "Will you be my hero?"

This is neither the declining Flames team of the mid-90s nor the Canucks team of destiny. 94 is so absolutely irrelevant.

Can we invoke the "Leader after the first period in game 5 wins rule?" I don't have enough Xanex or Valium to get me through two more periods.

I'm quoting this simply because most pictures don't load on Tapatalk without being quoted.

Ahh, I was hoping this was either legit or we'd get a nice gif. Oh well.
