Sven's agent and dad are going to complain about the Nuckleheads not using him effectively and not letting him play his game.

Elliott Pap @ElliottPap
Calgary alert! Looks like ex-Flame Sven Baertschi will play in Game 5 with Bonino and Vrbata (based on Wednesday practice.) #canucks

Baertschi in for Vancouver for Game 5.

Eric MacKenzie @EricMacKenzie
Baertschi will play tomorrow, says Desjardins

Suddenly I don't wish him well anymore. Oh well.

I remember when Tim Harrison was a little rough with him in rookie camp and he shut down completely. I wonder if he'll even survive next game.

He very well could he is a good player has nothing to lose, Im sure he would love to prove the Flames were wrong to keep him in the AHL.

Ferland, Harrison, Carroll.... Hunter Smith......

Poor Sven, his future doesn't look too bright.

Makes sense to play him in Vancouver where they have the last change.

I hope Ferland runs him over repeatedly.

Let's see it. We've all waited for it to happen, never did. He got his change of scenery and it's been more of the same. I'll believe it when I see it.

Desperation moves by Vancouver.

He won't get by Calgary's D like David Musil.

Or better, he makes no difference and he gets an up close look at what hard work does. He can watch his former team move on to the second round with a team full of young guys

Hartley knows what makes that kid tick (and not tick).

Thing is - now they have to take someone out, and it can only be a LW because Sven can't play C or RW. So Higgins (who hasn't done much but is a pretty good player IMO), Kenins (who has been physical anyway) or McMillan.

The guy is brittle, I doubt if he's makes it through the game healthy.

wow, they must be really desperate. Also not a really smart move IMO - we all know how important confidence is for Sven. If he's pushed around tomorrow by the Flames (and to be honest, I don't see how he wouldn't) in the last game of the year, that'll surely do wonders for his confidence.

I'm also sure that he would love nothing more. The problem is, I don't think he is capable enough to really do anything about it. Not at this level.

He struggled with finding time and space in the regular season. Do you really expect him to suddenly figure it out in Game 5? With the Canucks on the brink and the Flames with the taste of blood on their lips?

Man, that's a soft line. I guess they have to try something, but they could/should get pushed around quite a bit tomorrow.

He could play on the outside. We've seen him do that before.
