I actually think playing for an extended period of time with Engelland has grown his game further, when he reunites with Gio look out!

Been tremendous. Overall our D has outperformed theirs by a large margin and deserve so much credit for where the series is at.
It feels like these guys just never take a shift off.

After Tanev's contact, I made a comment on the r/hockey thread about how I thought Tanev's dollar amount was about right, but that it makes Brodie's contract look even better.

Canucks fans proceeded to claim they'd rather Tanev in every way.

Ha, NOPE!

Our mid to late round picks are turning out quite well. Brodie. Ferland. Gaudreau... Man we are lucky.

Confidence is palpable now. He knows how good he is. Never panics, always the smart play, and great with the puck.

Everytime I see TJ on the ice I just wonder if he ever says to himself "I miss you Gio"

He looks like Neidermayer, even down to his 'whippy' slap shot.

Some of his outlet passes have been unreal. I think he can be better then Gio.

Listening to 960, I really liked Steinbergs? (my aplogies if it was of the other guys) comments about Brodie. After Gio went down, it took him a while to react to being a left D again and playing with a very different partner in Engelland. He's really found his groove lately and I couldn't be happier. He's definitely got his transition game and confidence back.

Yeah. If I had to pick the best player of the series so far he'd be it, but I could almost agree with anyone on the Flames right now. The whole team has been outstanding so far.

Brodie, Russell, Bennett, Ferland, Colborne

It was talked about all year how the Flames had so many players playing over their heads and with so many having career years it was unsustainable. So what do they do once the season is over? Decide that unsustainable career years just isn't good enough and take it up yet another notch
