I just saw two blind people walking together downtown. One had a white stick and the other a seeing-eye dog. They were arm-in-arm. Never mind that I just saw literally the blind leading the blind. These must be the replacement refs for tonight's game.

I really did see a car today with two Canuck flags, parked in the handicapped space.

Not even Stajan. He was acquired in 2010.

Bouma, Backlund, Brodie, and Gio are the only players who were even in the Flames' system the last time they were in the playoffs, and none of them played in that series (Gio was hurt and the rest were still in junior).

Seems like lots of canuck fans are blaming their current situation on the coach. That he's not playing the sedins enough. I would say that the Canucks are losing at every level of this series. The coach looks to be making the wrong decisions with ice time, lines, matchups... He didn't even take a time out at the end of the game to set up a play. He looks over his head so far.

Meanwhile... Hartley looks like a veteran NHL coach who is controlling this series as if he scripted it out himself. It's been like that all year.

But it goes beyond coaching... The flames offence looks more dangerous... Both from the top line and the depth lines. More physical. Better discipline. Better forecheck. Better defence. Better goaltending.

And oh yeah... Better fans. I went to game 3 and game 4. What an awesome experience. Feels like guys like Johnny, Bennett, ferland, and even the rest of the team build off of the crowd's energy. Makes us feel like we're influencing the game. When bieksa has the puck and ferland is heading towards him you can feel/hear the crowd building with excitement and then erupt as bieksa gets crushed.

Since game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2010-2011, the Flames have the same number of playoff wins as the Canucks: 3.

Some good quotes from Aaron Ward who was on TSN1040 Vancouver.

TSN Radio Vancouver @TSN1040 · 10m 10 minutes ago
.@TSNAaronWard : "Calgary is playing like somebody pissed in their corn flakes. Canucks are playing like they just want this to be over"

TSN Radio Vancouver @TSN1040 · 1m 1 minute ago
More @TSNAaronWard: "I had no idea the Canucks would get their panties in such a bunch over Ferland...So now everybody is doing it"

That's a very good point. Likely adds to the idea of "hearing footsteps", in this case actually hearing the fans build, knowing he's seconds away from getting crushed.

I just hope no '94 ghosts rear their ugly head. Of course that year the Canucks were the young energetic team with no expectations and Calgary was the veteran group so I'm not too worried, but I'd love to see the Flames come out in game 5 with a statement and bury the Canucks for good in front of their own terrible fans

Heard on Vancouver radio this morning (from an on-air commentator):

"I mean, come on, this is the Calgary Flames. They are not a good team. The Canucks are more than capable of beating this team, running them out of the rink even."

Unbelievable.

Just silly. The Flames are better all over, on and off the ice.
