Dear Burrows' doctor,

Please feel free to keep him for observation until Tuesday April 28th, just to be sure he is ok.

Thanks
Then what was with the stretcher? Seems odd that they'd need an ambulance and a stretcher for a sore wrist.
It is probably protocol to put a patient on the stretcher if they are to take the ambulance to the hospital, no matter the reason he is going.

So, why did they need an ambulance and not have somebody take him?

Trainer: I'm not taking him, you take him.

Traner 2: No way, he can take him (pointing at Henrik)

Henrik: Hey, leave me out of this, send him in the ambulance. It will take the media attention away from the rest of the team for a bit.

Linden: Henrik, that is the best idea you've come up with since... since.... well, ever.

Further more, it is probably nothing serious because, as all accounts indicate, it took a long time for the ambulance to take him away, if he was suffering serious medical trauma there would have been somebody around to see him being attended to, and media would have been all over it all ready.

I'm just speculating but his wrist may have been cut by a skate. The rapid loss of blood is very ambulance worthy, as they would need to stabilize him right away.

That's a very scary injury, and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy (which I consider him as).

That's a fairly good guess, but I'd imagine there'd be blood in the ice, no?

I loathe Burrows more than anyone but one should NEVER wish injury or harm on another person.

That would be Canuck-fan and Burrows-like in nature.

If anything, I wish him to be healthy and on the ice when we eliminate the Canucks like the diving biters and hair pullers that they are so his soul can be filled with the disappointment he does deserve.

Its not like the movies where the hero sits in the ambulance and lights a cigarette while chatting with his partner/victim/innocent bystander. Then someone hammers on the door and the last site you see is the hero staring out the back window.

If they deem you need an ambulance ride, they're putting you on a stretcher so that you don't fall over when the ambulance goes over a bump

That's what I thought too but then they called it precautionary. Who knows.

Like most here, I'm certainly no fan of Burrows, but it's just a game. I hope he's OK. Scary stuff.

That's the only thing I could think of too. If he nicked an artery it would definitely require more attention than what the trainers would likely be able to give him. You have to make sure that the bleeding has stopped and you it would be better to be seen at the ER than a training room. The probably stabilized him, but want to make sure he's ok with the right equipment and personnel.

If its precautionary its not something like threatening or serious, so I'm going to discount a serious skate cut until I hear differently.

I'm going with he fell awkwardly or did something in practice and possibly broke or sprained his wrist and they're going to use the hospitals better diagnostic equipment.

No use buying trouble til we know better.

Can we also acknowledge how ridiculous it is to call something that leads a guy to the hospital an upper body injury.

I've been cut on the wrist before by a skate at Max Bell. Believe me, you would definatly see blood on the ice. That things bleeds like a #######. I did have to go get stitches at the hostpital and had to ride in an ambulance. I could see him hurting his hand at the end of last game and re-injuring it in practice.

Not a big fan of Burrows (but never really had a Sean Avery hate-on for him) regardless I really do hope he is alright.

As for a cut wrist - makes sense, except there would have been a lot of blood if it was serious enough to leave on a stretcher.
