I am. and I am not .. unless I get family or friends to score me a ticket. I tried so hard to get a ticket to the game and was willing to fly home for game 3.

Did they do a lottery system? Cant imagine how hard a ticket it would be to get.

Has anybody been to the new MTS centre and the saddledome that can comment on how the buildings compare at full boil?

Up by a goal heading into final frame.
You have ONE job Jets, now finish properly for once

Louder than the C of Red. The C of Red is loud, but man Winnipeg takes it to a whole new level.

Pretty awesome crowd. Although I don't think any rink will ever be louder than the Hurricanes during their 2 runs. I went to quite a few games where it was so loud it was completely disorienting and you couldn't even hear the person beside you screaming. I think I remember reading something about it hitting 158 on the DB meter.

Well MTS is smaller and concave vs. the Saddledome and it's convex roof, so it's much easier for sound to reverberate in that building. Honestly I'm quite impressed the dome was as loud as it was considering it's usually one of the quietest buildings in the league due to it's design

Something tells me its not a matter of the actual crowd but the arena architectural designs and ceiling materials, etc.
The Saddledome is known for being badly designed acoustically.

Trying too hard to lose the game?
There is no excuse at all for that cheapshot on Perry, and it certainly wasn't because he's trying too hard. LOL.
I hate Perry as much as the next guy but that's laughable.

Might want to look at your decibel math. 158db is louder than a gunshot going off right beside you, and without hearing protection would damage your ears. If you were in an arena with 158db's of sound you'd go deaf very quickly

I don't believe the db readings at these domes any more than I believe minor league ballpark radar guns.
The MTS centre has a hug advantage due to size. My one year old in the shower can hit 124 dbs, I think. Size matters.
But 20,000 people will sound "bigger" than 15,000 people even at a lower volume.

I like how physical the Jets are, and I really like their style of play.
They would just be so much better if they were less… sloppy. I guess that goes with the talent level.

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...d.php?t=769570 people here saying 134, and this link backs up my 158 memory https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...3231121AAXuulg
All completely suspect source, I know.
I went to a couple big games in Calgary in 2004, and while the crowd was awesome and loud, Carolina was much louder. They have a metal roof that was designed to reflect sound for NC State games, plus a crowd that tailgates all day for night games. There were points it would get so loud that it didn't even sound like crowd noise any more, just distorted white noise that would get pretty unsettling.
