If I was Willie I'd be benching Bieksa. He's a liability to put your team shorthanded or injure another player, and he's terrible. What's the benefit from having him? He's obviously a headcase.

Couple points I sort of want to discuss:

1) I know Monahan and Hudler are both hurt, but man Hudler looks really banged up. He looks like he's skating in molasses and can barely handle the puck right now. I love the guy and the job he's done but do you think we should take him out? Least Mony can skate still and while also obviously hurt he can still play a solid defensive game. I'm sure it would take him losing an appendage to come out but man Huds IMO might need to come out.

2) David Schlemko is looking like Brodie-lite so far. I have been really impressed with him, especially when him and Brodie have been paired it has really allowed Brodie free reign to attack on the rush, and he's been doing it too. It's really helped Brodie, and I think he's been a big factor as the #5 defensemen considering they have only rolled basically 5 d-men.

I find this really hard to believe that this kind of thing is happening to this extent, but maybe some of the CPers out there have witnessed similar things at the game last night.
Was up in the press level last night and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Typical heckling and boo's directed at them.

Actually had a young Canucks fan in front of us who was pretty down that the Canucks were losing but there was no heckling towards him. Harvey actually came up and goofed around with him a little bit to try to cheer him up. They ended up leaving early but think it was more because he had fallen asleep in his seats.

I have never seen anything bad at the dome unless the other fan was being an idiot himself. Personally I take everything I read online with a grain of salt, two sides to every story and people like to exaggerate.

Hey gang. New to boards but been a lurker for a few weeks now. Totally stoked for this series. If the Flames can continue playing like game 3, they will go far.

While these kinds of stories come out about the abuse Canucks fans faced at the game last night, there are also stories about the "hospitality," (as it were,) that was shown to them:

Quote:
"Last night was a painful experience. I have never been in another teams arena for a playoff game and it sucked to watch them put out such a lame effort and be reminded of it at every turn. The booing and heckling was quite amusing and although relentless, it wasn't overly harsh. No personal attacks was refreshing and the only thing close was a guy saying his glasses looked funny..."

Yeah, there's a lot of this in the dome, but I've never seen anything worse and it's usually not serious.

The violent stories are completely fabricated tales from the world's worst fanbase. These Canucks fans are lying liars and are still trying to deflect attention away from their terrible behaviour. None of these scenarios happened. Don't judge us they say, we just burn our city. Flames fans abuse children!
Shame on anyone who is spreading these made up lies. Worst fans in pro sports.

Generally, those that find it are looking for it.
Or in the the case of Canucks fans, making it up

Despite my best efforts they are dragging me into work for game 5 so I hope to see a lot of Flames fans and red in Rogers Arena on Thursday. Haven't looked but I am told there are still lots of tickets available.

Be sure to get Bieksa his Taco Bell pre-game meal just so he can be extra crappy!

each one represents a loss in the playoff round they are currently in. as soon as they lose a game i knock a puck over.... 1 loss down, 3 to go.

once all 4 pucks are knocked over, insane celebration ensues.... unless you live in vancouver.... then you riot

I'll be sure to add a little extra hot sauce so he has some jump out there.

I have a long time childhood friend and he's a strong hearted Canucks fan. We chirp each other equally and just as harsh.

Flames won game 1 and I heckled him. He said "I hope we just don't get swept"

Canucks won game 2 and he didn't even chirp.

Flames win game 3 and being the proud Flames fan I rub it in a little, but his response was this "Honestly I see the Flames winning in 6."

Either Canucks fans are weak or they actually don't belive in the team Desjardan puts out there.

So my theory is that Canucks fans don't have any faith in their team. Some are still optimistic, some are quiet about their lack of faith, and some try to cover the pain with extreme hatred towards the Flames.

I am in section 205 and after the game there was a Canucks fan with his son and he was giving it to the usher pretty good. I couldn't hear what he was saying though, but he was definitely upset. My uncle heard a little bit, something about being sworn at.

No physical stuff though, not that I saw anyways... even returned Canucks sunglasses when he dropped them going by.

Swearing at someone with a kid is pretty weak. Hell swearing at anyone is pretty weak.

If he's complaining about people around him swearing than I'd say that comes with the territory of going to a playoff hockey game. It's not a church.

In my many years of experience, Canuck fans, along with Leaf fans and Rider fans, are very centered on the team and dicks when they are winning, but always on the edge and ready to curl into a ball the second something might go wrong. Always predicting doom. Canuck fans are ready for the PO collapse. Leaf fans are ready for the second half of the season collapse. Rider fans are ready for the 13th man to run onto the field.

In contrast, Oiler fans are just dumb.

From NHL.com:

"I'm not worried about it. I think we're a pretty disciplined team," said Bieksa...."...They want to clean the series up. I think that probably plays into our favor".

You're a 'pretty disciplined' team, and like Henrik said last night, you played a 'pretty good' game last night. Keep thinking that

^ Ferland a big catalyst. Some of that momentum is tempered if the league directs officials to clamp down overly much.
Hope they allow things to still be physical
