Pulling for the Jets tonight. I think they take both on home ice and even up the series, the crowd will carry their players.

Today is a pretty special day for me and my home city. This is as big a day/a first for me since the Winnipeg franchise was returned and then named the Jets. It feels like the passing of the torch too from old generation Jets 1.0 fans to the new younger Jets 2.0 fans who never knew the original Jets.
Can't wait for puck drop and the Whiteout. 19 years is far too long!
GO JETS!

I've seen arenas in the past hand out t-shirts to get the white out effect, and thought it was pretty phony.
Thing about the sea of red (yes "sea"), it's made up of probably a majority of expensive jerseys.

Rooting 100% for the Jets. Their arena is going to be insane, I can't wait to watch.

Winnipeg's White Out were never shirt give aways, and I really doubt that starts now. Usually free shirt give aways have advertising all over it, that looks like the other white out gear that TNSE have been selling. Including road white jerseys for 99 bucks to STH

Really? Your team tee has glitter all over it? If it was me it'd be a white t-shirt with the logo on it and that's it.

eh I like it. It looks like a snow storm. the white shrts have apparently been selling out as soon as the Jets local store gets them.
I cant confirm anything of course because I'm not there, but I would stunned if TNSE gave away t shirts. They've been selling out 20 dollar white shirts all week, and white jerseys.

It doesn't really matter because that arena is going to possibly suffer structural damage from all the noise that's going to be in there, I just am not a big fan of that design.

Went to the Flames/Jets regular season closer. They were selling the white out t-shirts for $15. Picked one up myself as a souvenir. They just had the our team, our tradition on it but had just arrived.
My buddy has season tickets there and said the number of people wearing away jersey suddenly at that game was staggering. I don't think less of their fans who choose to wear a white-out t-shirt rather than run out and buy an away jersey that they will only wear 2 nights out of every 10 years or so.... (that dig was for you Jimmy).

Very few people are only going to be wearing white t-shirts. If social media pics are any indication, people are going to be wearing white Tivex suits, face paint, white wigs, costumes, white cowboy hats, etc. It's going to look nothing like what they have in Pittsburgh and Arizona.
I've never heard of an event that has been this widely anticipated in Winnipeg.

I tried so hard to get tickets
Oh well, maybe they will sneak into the 2nd round and play here? One can dream.
