They always try to include "18 years old Sam Bennett"... "Here's the 18 year old Sam Bennett"...or "Sam Bennett, the 18 years old" every single minutes that kid tries to do something. Hence, I asked: "anyone know how old is Sam Bennett?" cause I believe I am not the only one that's tired of hearing the word/number 'eighteen' or '18'. '
It's equivalent to Lack's dad because it's unusual for an 18 year old to make a big impact in the POs and it's unusual for a Canuck's father to identify himself as such and come to the arena.

Threads like this always come back to bite you.
Lets not bask in the glory of "butthurt" Canucks fans until the series is over.

It's only 2-1

"Always"? Like when we made fun of the Oilers and they were going to be great?

Ferland plays right on the edge and is exactly the type of player opposing fans would be losing their poop over.

That said, any Canucks fan who think they're team of cheap shot artists, divers, biters, and whiners has any moral authority is insane. The rest of the league even agrees the Canucks are among the dirtiest team in the league. But typical Van fan blindness.

And as for the fans? Have hated tham since 02 since a group of them were trying to goad me and my buddy into a fight at the bar (in Calgary!) after they won. We didn't say a word to them, they came right up to us.

I've never been to Philly, but I'd have a hard time there's a bigger bunch of punks there. Canucks fans are the worst, hopefully they stick to ruining their own city.

I mean more mid series. We don't want to sound like Canucks fans after game 2.
Oilers are fair game

Fans enjoy their teams' success most often in the face of their opponents failures. Nothing to see here.

And no, there is no "bite back." Unless you really are that concerned about what a collective of total strangers thinks about you on the internet. I sincerely doubt that that is true for anyone.

I've said it before, but one has to be truly arrogant to think that what they say on a message board has any impact on what happens on the ice.

Also, whether or not Vancouver goes on to take the series, the fact that Canuck fans are being whiny bitches right now is both undeniable, and worthy of comment.

Maybe not.

I was in PL7 and started the first "Where's your daddy" clap clap clap chant.

After that a guy in the row (probably your buddy) took over and kept trying to get it going.

We couldn't escape the harassment anywhere, I got heckled in the bathroom while I was taking a whiz, the guy didn't even have the balls to wait for me to finish. I know "all fans like to heckle" but why the #### are you telling me how much you "hate the sedin sisters", cool I got it the first 30 times you said it. Also to the Calgary fan who found himself on the floor after I socked you, I hope you have permanent brain damage from hitting the floor. I hope your ######ed girlfriend has to push you around in a wheelchair for the rest of your life and feed you thru a straw. This night could've been fine, you guys were winning and you still wanted a fight. I know this may sound cold blooded but I just had to watch a 50 year old fight a guy half his age. #### CALGARY. #### ALBERTA."
I got attacked(ish) last night.

I kept to myself the entire night and didn't really say anything to anyone. When you guys went up 3-1 I decided I would leave as I wasn't up for heckling and wanted to beat some of the Flames fans to the train. As I went to get up, a guy three seats down or so got right in my face and when I just stared at him, he threw a punch and knocked my glasses off. I fell and sprained my ankle. I'm not out for blood, but like... some things are ridiculous. So frustrating to see this from any fan.

Did you report this incident to security or the police? If not, then you should really have done so. This is assault and shouldn't be tolerated. If you didn't do that, then I ask why not?

Every time I went to a game in Vancouver, I always had my exit well planned... and it always involved taking off my jersey or putting my jacket on over it before I left my seat.

I'm not saying anyone should ever be confronted or be given abuse for wearing a jersey, but I am always surprised when people don't realize that they put a target on themselves and that there are jerks out there that will act out because of it.

Bennett made it 3-1 two minutes into the game. To each their own, but you left a playoff game with near an entire period left?

I wont disagree with you. Flame fans aren't always saints, especially when it comes to Oiler and Canuck fans. However, you've been randomly punched in the face and pushed down the stairs in two separate incidents? Both would be the absolute most extreme situation I've seen in the Dome. Fights have happened, but unprovoked extremely dangerous assaults...

That is terrible. Don't judge us all based on one drunken moron. I'm all for the rivalry and some trash talk, this is embarrassing. I hope your next visit to the dome is a better one and this doesn't put you off attending in person.

As Bruce mentioned, inform security about DB's like that.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think if Game 4 goes that way, that might be a solid strategy as well. I'm just annoyed I tried to avoid problems by leaving and one showed up. There was a guy on /r/canucks who actually saw the entire thing and couldn't believe I lasted that long (3rd period) without saying anything to the guys behind me.

To the guy asking why I didn't report it, the cops and security both saw me tumble and snatched me out of the crowd. After he threw the first punch, I pushed him and that's when I fell. Security and medical were more concerned about my ankle then the other guy. Me too honestly.

The time I got pushed was I think 2011 or 2012. The Flames won in a shootout and that girl was just ridiculous. I only brought it up in that thread because there was a lot of back and forth. And I made a mistake, 4-1. I never saw our other goal haha. Who even got it?

It's definitely something, and I like when the broadcast focuses on thing like that. Lack's Dad flew in from Sweden to see those two games, it's a good story.

But my lord, show it once and get it over with. It felt like regional coverage. For two games they cut to Lack's father over and over again. It's unprofessional. If I was Lack's dad and saw the 1st game back in the hotel on PVR I'd try to get word to CBC to cut it out for game 2.

The coverage has been poor all around though. It's not up to the CBC Playoff standard. Ron McLean is criminally underused, no one sets the stage and tells a story like him in this country. Use Strombo on your panels and interviews, but McLean should have a presence. Also Scott Oake, put away your damn broken down iPhone. Two segments last night he used it as a prop. Clean that thing up if you're going to put it on TV, get a new screen protector. Don't use a noise app and think it's legit.

The one major thing is the intro videos. This used to be CBC's bread and butter, and nothing started a new series off right then a CBC montage video set up by McLean with appropriate music. I was really disappointed we didn't get that. Now it's all Sportsnet generic music with a brutal deep toned voice over.

Got off topic there, but ugh, coverage has been poor.

Sorry you got hurt... next time, I wouldn't stare down someone or push back (in retaliation)... keep your head down, put a jacket over your sweater and you'll be fine.
