So far the only thing I would call a stupid play by Ferland was dropping the gloves game 1, otherwise he's been doing exactly what he should be doing, including that one run at Lack at the end of game 2 when he was out of his crease. I'm sure Hartley knows what to say to the locker room, we're a mile deep into the Canucks heads just gotta keep doing what we're doing.

Hamhuis should have received something. That was unquestionably dirty.

I can live with nothing for Burrows.

O'well as long as the NHL stays consistent with this all will be well.

It's pretty clear to me that the DOPS looks at video and tries, at least, to determine whether or not a player was intentionally trying to hurt a guy and factors that into their decision. Do you not think perceived intent plays a role?

A little disappointed about Hamhuis only in the fact that the hit was exactly what they the NHL says they are trying to get rid of. Just because he didn't flop around and pretend to be shot doesn't change the fact that it was a hit to the head.

Hamhuis will be scared to play next game. He will be targeted for hits and will hear the footsteps coming a mile away. Ferland will put him through the boards at every opportunity.

Having Burrows and Bieksa still in the lineup will actually help the Flames out I think. These guys are so easy to get off their game that they will be a determent to their own team. The more they focus on running around like goons and going after Ferland the better. It's amazing how much Ferland has made Bieksa his bitch.

None of them get suspended?

Well, guess the entire Canucks team is going to be hearing footsteps midway through the 1st during Game 4. Good, devastating clean hits all night long.

Oh good, because charging penalties are exactly what the team needs.

Allowing this extracurricular crap to affect how you play and start running around looking for payback is precisely how you lose a series.

So he's becoming a pirate, instead of an enforcer? Or is this just a spelling mistake in a post telling other people their spelling is embarrassing?

As he told his new-born son: "score goals buddy, it's way easier."

McGrattan isn't joining the line-up JUST to fight. We have plenty of guys that already do this. Stay the course, I say. It's worked for us, so far.

I completely understand and empathize with grammatical and spelling errors. They bother me too, but when you misspell the word misspell, use freakin', and then type piratically, you lose all credibility. You may as well have typed 'your dumb'.

both teams have been warned

Early word is no suspension for Burrows. But NHL is unhappy with the way the series has gone and both teams are on warning for Game 4.

I kind of figured that this was going to happen, the league doesn't want to be showing favoritism. Plus controversy creates cash my friends.

Hopefully the Flames use this for fuel. Burrows is the type of guy that I wouldn't cry about him suffering a career ending injury, he takes liberties plain and simple. Hamhuis, maybe this is out of character, but he knows what he did, and the Flames know what he did.

Bieksa, is a dirtbag plain and simple and I'm hoping that the Flames and Ferland keep away from the retaliation game, but go after him hard physically, he's barely an NHL defenseman now.

However, going back to the head shot, I'm extremely disappointing in the NHL and I won't be taking them seriously when they talk about player safety anymore. They seem more concerned with circumstantial player safety and that's a shame. No matter what anyone tells me, that hit was aimed at and designed to go through the head. I expected more from a former Olympian.

Well that seems pretty toothless. I'm sure the Canucks will continue on with their cheapshots as its been their modus operandi for several seasons now.

Hopefully they continue to worry more about getting their licks in than winning. This is starting to shape up like their last two playoff round losses.

So f***ing do something about it!!!

This is the equivalent of Babu waiving his finger at Seinfeld, or saying "Please stop". You have the power to make it stop, by calling things as you would in any other game and following through on your mandate to protect the players.

What a joke.

Um the NHL and the officiating crews have to take the brunt of the Blame for this.

The 2-1 gang up on Engellend.
The disgusting actions of Richardson on Stajan
Burrow's hit on Gaudreau and then jumping Russell
Bieksa suckering Ferland.

All of these incidences were pretty much caused by the Officials on ice and allowed to happen.

Frankly I don't understand what they expect the Flames to do.

don't warn us, warn the officials. I would argue that the Canuck's are taking far more liberties then the Flames are.

I'm also entirely disgusted that Hartley gets fined, but Desjardins doesn't for doing the exact same thing. Where's the consistency.

Both teams?!?!?!LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

What, pray tell, did Calgary do in game 3 to deserve a warning?

Now I'm hoping van stops their shenanigans so our players won't be suspended when Burrows bites someone's ear off.

What a freaking joke, the NHL hates the flames, couldn't be more transparent

Classic NHL. The NHL and refs have dropped the ball twice now, but then turn around and blame the teams.

If you don't like the way the series has gone maybe you should enforce the rules rather then ignoring them 'because it's playoff hockey'.
