It certainly felt like the Canucks were afraid of the Flames forecheck. They turned the puck over just because a Flame was approaching them at a certain point.
Ferland is a god damn monster and I love him.
After Bennett scored and the crowd started to quiet down a bit, they showed him on the bench looking up at the Jumbotron and he got one of the loudest cheers I've heard. No wonder he had some positive comments about the atmosphere!

Im all for fisticuffs but the hits need to go. Hand on hand fine both USUALLY consent to it. Jumping a man or illegal checks are deplorable.

And bouma still isn't back yet... Yet another physical, relentless grinder to add to the mix.

There is this sense that the chemistry and character of the 04 team is back again with this group. So many character players who play their heart and soul out for each other, something that was missing for all those bubble years with Iggy and the boys after 2006.
They just do everything right, you never count them out, you always believe they can win and there is just a sense of something very special happening here in Calgary. We have a bright future ahead, and just placing Bennett in like it was meant to be is another incredible piece in this team.
I haven't felt this since 04 and I'm so excited to see what the future brings with this group.

The best part is that we still do not know what players that Poirier, Klimchuk, Jankowski, Arnold, Agostino, Reinhart, Smith, MacDonald, Gillies, Morrison, and Wotherspoon will develop into, let alone any of the other guys in the system.
With how this team plays, I see a silver trophy heading our way in the near future.

What is wrong with Hudler?

I just think that top line is being targeted a lot so it's harder for them to produce, as the series goes on though, I think we're seeing that they're producing more and more. So I think the best is yet to come for them...

Wow just reading some nuck forums, they really want Baertschi in badly, lol I hope they make that move, would be hilarious to see him fail and cost them as we know his dedication to defensive hockey.

Unfortunately I think you're right...

Sadly, I think you're right... I wouldn't expect much support from the NHL dept. of player safety on this one... At most, they're just going to match what they gave to the Flames after game 2... a 50k fine to the coach.

Absolutely!
My only concern is how to ensure that I master the "silent cheers" so as to not awake my flatmate at some ungodly hour.

Raymond for Granlund was very good change. We were slow in first two games and Raymond in bottom lines works very. I usually enjoy watching our first line but yeasterday it was bottom two lines i really enjoyed.

Random shouting and cheering in the office here. Celebratory drinks have to wait until work is done.

Just finished watching the game. It was awesome. So many fond memories of 04 in C of Red. Just amazing to watch.
Flames played great and got contributions from everyone (Bollig, Bennett, Brodie, Monahan). Loved how Russell stuck up for Gaudreau at the end there.
Need more gifs! To accompany the "Say My Name" Walter White (Ferland):
Hughson was horrible yet again with his homerish calls. Pretty disgusting for a national broadcast.
I hate the Canucks. So dirty and targeting all of our skilled players (Beiska and Burrows). I hope the favour is returned in Game 4. Stay classy Vancouver.
