You can see that Gaudreau is figuring out playoff hockey, this was his best game in terms of finding space. I think that he's answered the questions about being able to take hits and survive.
I'm betting the Canucks core are feeling their legs getting heavier, the Flames just looked like they were a porche, the Canucks looked like a 76 astrovan.
The Flames need to come out and play patient on Tuesday while hitting right from the start. The Canucks will wear down quicker.

Important for Hartley to find a way to get the guys to replicate tonight in GM 4. Don't want to give back home ice advantage!

Should also mention that Bollig is earning his keep in this series so far. That was a big goal for a team that has had two nervous starts.

Maybe I'm just on too much of a high after the win, but this team strikes me as having '04's grit and guts, and '08's offense. A deadly combination. If only we had Kipper....

Hiller has been playing pretty good if you ask me! and D is doing a great job in front of him.

No he wasn't. Maybe you missed when he would way things like "Brodie is all over Sedin" or "Hudler is holding Vrbata's stick" etc. If it was a regional Canucks call you could overlook it but nationally the guy is always campaigning when it appears the Flames may have committed an infraction.
Also what was with the puck hitting Dorsett in the face and the entire Canucks team himself included campaigning for a high sticking penalty? Man the Canucks are just so easy to dislike as are their fans including Hughson.

that goal turned out to be pretty big...Vancouver would have pulled within one and the pressure would have been on big time

I was thinking that exact same thing, and that Gaudreau made his linemates better tonight.

According to Bieksa, it was Ferland's line who was irrelevant.

I have no idea why people are complaining the playcalling and the colour commentating tonight. They were both good tonight and I didn't hear any bias. People should just watch the game and ignore the comments if they are not happy with those two. They actually talked a lot about how Ferland hitting everyone that move and also talking about Sam Bennett.

^^Absolutely suspendable hit on Bennett. Players need to be protected. Seabrook was suspended for a similar hit on Backes in the first round last year so the precedent is there.

Burrows did get a game misconduct, the box score doesn't show it but the game summary sheet does. So 2 min boarding, 2 min instigator, 5 min fighting, 10 min game misconduct for Burrows.

When that trade went down I figured this was exactly why they brought him in. He's a grinder and knows the hard minutes deep into the playoffs. I think he starts to shine from this point on for the rest of this season.

@SUNRandySportak: #Flames Michael Ferland’s mom told him not to hit the Sedins.
“She told me, 'Leave the Sedins alone.' She loves them,” he said.
Not cool mommy Ferland.... Not cool...

See the clip posted early in the game thread of him coming down the hallway to the ice? He was almost smiling with excitement, he looked so damn ready.
Was harsh about him in the regular season but he's earning his keep.

Game is automatic with the instigator
