This is true. I doubt they suspend him.
I would say there is a 65% chance that no one gets suspended
25% that Burrows gets a game. That was instigating.
10% that Hamhuis gets a game.

The sad thing is that the Hamhuis hit is EXACTLY the type of thing the league should crack down on. But when push comes to shove, in the playoffs, they don't have the guts to actually suspend guys for head shots like that.

Well absolutely he's not getting suspended but he's lucky the officials turned a blind eye. That said you are correct in that the Flames ultimately are lucky here as I said in the game thread the guy can't play anymore. Everytime he was on the ice the Flames had the puck hemmed in the Canucks end.

It would be nice if he got a suspension, but I doubt he will. League is so inconsistent.

As long as we get one for Hamhuis. That was ugly.

Burrows I'm okay with rescinding the suspension. It's a dumb rule and burrows starting that fight wasn't goofing it up. The hit itself should be more suspendable then the fight.

With Bieksa I don't think the league has any grounds and I think the riffing crew didn't give the instigator on purpose because there is no way to recind that one. So missed on the ice by the officials.

I am happy with and think we will get a 1 game suspension on Hamhuis.

The NHL never suspends people for instigating, even in the regular season they never suspend people for that, let alone in the playoffs. I agree about Hamhuis, I wouldn't complain if they gave him a game or two but I doubt that they would.

Because he was already punching Ferland before Ferland knew what was happening, and it was with less than 5 minutes to go. Supposed to be an automatic 1 game suspension by the rules.

Ref missed the instigator though, so there won't be any suspension there. But you can't say there was no reason for a suspension.

Hamhuis should get suspended he knew exactly what he was doing. What a complete loser. Head shot to an 18 year old, what a classless move. His whole performance this series has been abhorrent. He is a joke.

The intend of Burrows and Hamhuis were pretty obvious and malicious. They should be getting extra discipline. Especially if the NHL wants to make sure they maintain control of the series. Otherwise they're allowing room for it to become even more ugly and players will actually get hurt.

Sure you can, because there was no call made on the ice. If they missed the call, the automatic rule that is instituted doesn't apply... because the call wasn't made.

League will play even up with the instigators, so no suspension there.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hamhuis get 1 game. The league take head shots seriously these days, and they don't want this series to get out of hand with head-hunting.

I'm thinking the league will feel that at this point it has no choice. Somebody needs to sit.

No suspensions at all means the league is silently condoning what is happening. The players will feel the need to take it into their own hands. And something real nasty is likely to happen.

Sounds like another scenario where the officials are still working on the final game sheet so nothing has been finalized.

What Bieksa did during those final moments only happens when you're in someone's head. Pure frustration. Goon mode engaged.

The Hamhuis hit has to be a suspension. Classic example of a hit to the head.

Burrows should be a wash with Engelland.

Bieksa I thought had the worst of the 3 incidents. What a coward. He should be gone for the series. Imagine if Ferland did the same to him.

Isn't that so Kevin Bieksa? Don't give him a chance to drop his gloves just tee off. You know if Ferland would have dropped his gloves he would have tried to turn it into a hug fest as he only will fight lightweights and players that are not ready to fight.
