Neither the canucks on the ice, nor the fans off the ice, have done anything since 2011. Yes, the riot was a dumb thing to do by a bunch of dumb canuck fans. Since then they've won 1 playoff game in the last four post seasons, and that was on the road. The fans are becoming less interested and the bandwagon has started to empty. That's what happens in a city where there are many other options on how to spend your money, and you can wear shorts full time starting in March. I've been to a number of games out here and not one time did I ever feel I was even close to being harmed. You are very wrong on this, and it doesn't surprise me at all.

I feel it's often the bandwagon fans in every market who are the irrationally violent/passionate. Including Calgary. In 2004 I saw some pretty dumb flames fans acting like idiots.
Feel like they have something to prove. Kind of like how I'm more scared of a wannabe gangster in the SW than a real one. The real one knows I'm not worth the time, the wannabe is looking to make an example of someone.
