Joe is a young guy...can't believe people were already giving up on him throughout the season...you can't teach that size/reach
hope he can keep up his strong play, I am a huge fan...he was in tears when the team clinched (I had something in my eye)

Agreed. That line in general really intrigues me. Backs and Bennett have great speed and 2 way play. Joe threw a couple nice hits and had great possession down low last game.
If their confidence grows this is a line that will provide secondary scoring.
Canucks treating tonight as a must win. If we can pull this off then I really think they will be on the ropes and vunerable to a sweep

Not if his first goal is in the playoffs.
His official first NHL goal will come in the regular season. So bam: 2 first NHL goals.

He'll then score one on a penalty shot, into an empty net, and off of Mario Lemieux's head...

Anyone else just hear the Bodog bet of the day? Flames over Cansucks. They sang a little song about it. Was awesome!

The Canucks and their fans already look defeated in my eyes, and you can tell that our speed and grit is already getting to them. I think the Flames chase Lack from the net tonight, and ultimately make quick work of the Canucks both tonight and in this series. This series goes 5 games tops.
Hopefully, we get Giordano back when we play the Ducks next round.

lol you sound like Canuck fans back in 2004 after game one

I don't think so. Back in 2004 when the Canucks won Game 1, it was a game that could have easily gone either way. Even after that game, many Flame fans including myself felt strangely more confident since we thoroughly outworked them.
Two nights ago, the Flames also completely outworked and outhustled the Canucks, to the point where it looked like men amongst boys in the final 12 minutes of the game.
Call it arrogance, or call it confidence, but I think this series goes 5 games and with the Flames playing Anaheim next round. The Canucks don't even look like they belong on the same ice as us and deep down, I think them and their fans know that.

don't get ahead of yourself game one could have gone eithier way if we play like we did in the last 10 mins we will win but if we have a slow start again we could be in trouble
