I'm hoping for one of Columbus, Philly, Carolina, Florida, or New Jersey to win the lotto.

Here's a neat simulator that actually goes through the process of drawing the 4 lottery balls.

Did it 10 times and PHI and ARZ won it 2 times each. BUF, SJ, CAR, CLB, TOR and COL won it once. Lottery is definitely more open.

Why do people think the fix is in for Toronto? That franchise is a goldmine despite accomplishing nothing for the last 40 years. They don't need McDavid.

Yes please more simulator results, the more results people post the more we can predict the winner... it is almost as if the simulator is governed by the laws of probability.

I'd love it if Buffalo, Edmonton and Toronto lost the lottery.
Out of all the non-playoff teams, I'd love to see McDavid in Arizona, Florida or Dallas. Their fans are the least aggravating out of all the teams in the lottery.

McDavid would be fantastic though.
Any way it ends up, we come out way ahead.

I hope Sabres at least not get McDavid.
Dirtiest tanks that ever tanked since the Mario draft.
I would be more upset if the Oilers get McDavid, but those guys are the simpletons of the NHL and aren't tanking on purpose like the Sabres.
I really started disliking them when Friedman reported on 960 about Pegula calling Bettman and asking not to change the lottery rules for this year but instead start in 2016, and Bettman complied. WTF.

If the NHL rigs the lottery they are not giving McDavid to Toronto, they already sell out there with a crappy team and always will. I don't think the lottery is rigged but if it was, McDavid would be a Coyote for sure.

A decent article by Sean Mcindoe on the draft lottery. It takes a look at who should win from multiple viewpoints
http://grantland.com/the-triangle/th...ower-rankings/
Here's the The “Under Absolutely No Circumstances” Power Rankings:
Quote:
5. Edmonton Oilers — They’re a tire fire, a train wreck, a running joke, a black hole from which no hope or happiness can ever escape. You might as well load McDavid into a nuclear submarine and fire him into the Mariana Trench.
4. Edmonton Oilers — Also, they already had the first overall pick three seasons in a row just a few years ago. Literally nobody wants this to happen.
3. Edmonton Oilers — Connor McDavid seems like a perfectly nice kid. Why would you do this to him? Why?
2. Kansas City Scouts — Wait, are they still in the league? No? OK, then in that case …
1. Edmonton Oilers — Look, I’m all for fairness and integrity, but if the Oilers win the lottery, then the league absolutely has to scrap the results and run it again. Don’t even delete the footage or try to cover it up — just have Bill Daly walk into the frame screaming, “Take two!” while angrily stuffing Ping-Pong balls back into the machine. Every hockey fan will understand.
