You mean I won't get butt-####ed by some guy with a shotgun in a corner on a regular basis?
Tilts the game towards heavy impact primaries though. Thorn just got even stronger, which is a mind-#### considering how op the gun was already.

Just reading the patch notes... Does clicking L3 actually hide the UI now? Can you do it at any time?

Thorn is ok, but a Red Death is a strong counter. I'll rarely lose a 1v1 to a Thorn.
The Last Word though....good freaking luck. That gun is unreal.
I had a pretty good evening for loot last night.
Got an IceBreaker from the nightfall, raid chest + gloves from Crota Normal, and SwordBreaker, Oversoul Edict, and Word of Crota from Crota HM.
Still need a good heavy rocket launcher, but I'm closing in on being able to get to 32! If I can get my hands on some exotic boots or raid boots I'm golden.

Anyone else notice that crota is getting up faster after the patch? I ran sword today, and could only get 3 hits per down without getting killed leaving.
I've never had trouble running sword before.
The sword also seems to last for less time.

I've decided I'm still gonna hit the new content the second it's released. With a new raid out of the picture, I'm actually ssuuuupppeerrr curious about the content that's taking its place. Plus that House of Wolves trailer is pretty cool lol. If it's 3-person fireteams, there's gonna probably be three teams of us running it Day 1.

I actually noticed the opposite when running things last night.
Patch notes say directly that Crota will no longer swing at you until he is fully on his feet, and that the sword will last a full 30 seconds following pickup.
Swordbearer in our group last night was able to get in 4x4 a couple times in both normal and hard modes. Flawlessed normal, and took only two tries on HM.

We ran it last night, and on normal we downed him in one sword... with time to spare.

So tried out the crucible with the new patch - what a different experience. I felt like I actually had a chance for once and I wasn't blown away in one shot whenever someone showed up on my screen.
I also tried the weekly heroic for the first time - played it matched to my level so it was a good challenge without being too hard. However, it took a few runs to get through a few checkpoints, and by the time I got to the final battle I had to quit. Does my progress get saved for how far I went? Or if I try again, do I have to start at the beginning? If my progress isn't saved I might plan my time a bit better around the heroics.
Oh, and leveled up armour last night to get to level 25 - I'm pretty happy with that!

Congrats Kajz, glad to hear your crucible experience was more enjoyable. I played a few games last night as well and noticed things were a bit different as well, certainly less sprinting around the map with shotguns.
Blaster, you are probably going to hate me for this.
Ran VOG hard last night real quick, and got 2x Fatebringer on the same Templar kill....
