I love how it's both Bennett related and Edmonton is No Good related.

Awesome crowd reaction at 2:08. I know it's probably not nice, but I can't help but like to see the reactions like that.

I think the area of Sam's game that has impressed me the most is his board play, we saw it in his first NHL shift against the Jets and we saw it again and again last night, his board play and ability to battle for pucks is insanely good for an 18 year old at this level. Looks to me like he feels good out there, confidence will continue to come, I can't wait to see how he deals with more attention from the Canucks tomorrow, he looks to be a player who will easily be able to switch gears to trip up the opposing D. Pumped!!!

Very good first game penalty and all. Generated chances with speed and moves and hustle.

OK - honestly...,
How many of you could tie nice double-windsors like that when you were their age?

Treliving said he was worried about where the goals were going to come from this season. So when the Flames finished 8th in league scoring, I guess someone should have have sent him a gif of a happy face giving him the finger.

I only got to see was the 3rd period wow! There was one play where it looked like our defense got caught and Vancouver was heading up for a 2 on 1 but as they got to our blue line there was Bennett. He was in a defensive position and at first glance looked like a seasoned defense man. On another play the puck came out to the slot for Vancouver to take advantage but Bennett was at the right place at the right time to break the play up! I may have to watch the highlights to see what everyone talking about, but color me impressed!

Game winner tonight, 3rd star, gets the helmet.
Huge screen on our 2nd goal, and 2 points in 3 games now.
Safe to say he's not only staying but making a pretty big impact.
Sam's a keeper.

This kid is able to battle with the best and keep popping up. Want he gets his bearings watch out. Will be a bigger factor in games to come without a doubt.

Bennett will be a big part of this team for a long time, he will get his chance, but this year I fully hope and expect them to show loyalty to the guys who battled all year long, not the 18 year old who has played 1 NHL game.

I completely and totally 100% retract this statement.
Bennett is awesome.

Screen on the game 1 winner too. A big part of almost half the goals so far.

Reason: Game 1 assist and screen on same play

Really? I wasn't around when there was Roberts and such were playing here in the 80s/early 90s, but Roberts seems to be a lot bigger, stronger, less offensive, more of a powerforward type then Bennett who's speedy, great hands, etc.
