Kypreos, Strombo, Hrudy and Friedman are great together. Great chemistry as a panel, love how they've been together all season and not too much switching around.

Just think. This is a team without Bouma, Byron, Diaz, and a much less than 100% Monahan. Not to mention the absence of Giordano.

not sure why anyone would think the Canucks dominated, Flames were the better team for 2 of the 3 periods. Canucks only goal wasn't even a shot for crying out loud, Horvat was trying to pass it and it bounced off two skates and in

What an effort by our rookies! Jooris, Ferland, Gaudreau, and Bennett were all difference makers! Hartley is an amazing coach.
And Hiller was a pimp tonight.

Think they show Lack's dad berating his son for being well out of position on that last goal? Good screen but he was a good two feet over too far.
Fantastic from the bottom lines. Ferland and his dumb penalty aside.
Have full faith the top line will get going, so to win this one without them firing is big.

Full marks to Hiller as well, won't get enough credit.

I never thought i would see the day where so many home grown Flames would be able to contribute so much... we drafted so bad for so long, now there is a new guy almost every night... Bennett tonight was awesome, thanks Edmonton for taking Leon........ Ferland was a hitting machine, hope Bouma can come back, he is a warrior

It can't be stated enough: the effort by Colborne on that shift was unreal. Reminded me of Iggy in his prime.

What a thrilling game and performance. The better team won. And that was as good of a hockey game as the Calgary Flames have played in 11 years. This game was vintage 2004.

I've got a good feeling the lineup in game 2 will closely resemble the lineup in game 1.

Also, no way Jooris comes out this series IMO -- he's one of our best PK forwards.

Well that was fun! Just a great game, really by both teams. I thought the effort level across the board, after the initial jitters, was outstanding.
Sam. Oh boy. I can't believe somehow we have this kid. He was the most dangerous player on the ice from either team.

Canucks going for the rebound shooting from everywhere but the flames did a good job of getting to pucks and clearing them. Keep that up and we'll win this series.

Backlund looked awful in my mind.

Maybe put Colborne between Jones and Bennett?
