We will win the second and third periods and thank Hiller for a great first.

The Monahan line has been great, but I've wanted to see Bennett and Gaudreau on a line since preseason.
Wouldn't hurt to spread scoring too.

How about a separate thread for media criticism? Stick to hockey here.

Wow people. The Flames are tied after taking what was expected - a hard energetic start by the Nucks. The first line starts this was in tons of games. Then they break through. The fact the second line looks great is a bonus. Hiller is on his game, the D looks solid, and I don't think the Nucks had all that many great chances - Calgary probably has as many in close tries. And those "hard hits" Hughson went on about looked pretty ordinary to me.
No need for timeouts 5 minutes in, no need to crap over tough play and standing up for teammates. Hartley will have them going. And the penalty was broken up so that's good too IMO.

I can't even watch the game. And I agree Hughson is a ###### homer for the Canucks. Guy should never be allowed to call their games.

You just know Huddy and Gaudreau are going to make something happen at some point. That we're even in this after a nervous start and it hasn't happened yet should have Vancouver worried.

It's just exhausting to have the perpetual pettiness in the thread. It's not an energy I like to engage in (nor do I believe is necessary) when discussing the game.

No one involved in the game can hear anything we discuss about the games.

Why make it personal?
And if that's what some people choose to invest in during a playoff game then I guess that's their choice, it just seems so entirely unnecessary considering it is the same stuff said on constant repeat.

Hard to get anything done when the neutral zone is clogged and the Canucks are closing in immediately even if there is a smidgen of space.
That said, they certainly aren't doing well.

On the stretch pass the flames got to start playing indirect passes off the boards. Vancouver D are cheating way to much. Just play the puck off the boards behind the Flame and let him skate on to it.

Honestly it may have played into Hartley's mind, if Mony is banged up.. having Bennett around is a great boon.
Mony is a warrior, professional, so I'm channeling all my energy to him. Go Sean Go!!

Monahan definately isn't him. I wonder if this is something where it can't get worse or if playing him now risks more injury and a few more days would have helped.
Tough decisions.

Shots were 13-10. How is that being dominated?
